Is franchise CPU trade logic still retarded for anyone else? The Angels put Pujols and CJ Wilson on the block. The Marlins traded Buerhle. The Yanks have Gano and Granderson on the block. The Red Sox have Lester (who is 8-1 in my chise with an ERA around 2) on the block.. shit makes no sense

Yeah in my franchise, the Rays traded Desmond Jennings to the Mets for Jason Bay.

So far in my RTTS, the Rockies have given Drew Pomeranz back to the Indians for Dan Wheeler, and the Braves traded Heyward and Christian Betancourt (stud C in AA) for Shin-Shoo Choo. Oh and the Rangers already added Jurickson Profar (19 years old) and Rougned Odor (18) to the MLB roster.

So yeah, it's all kinds of fucking retarded.

So I just finished my first season in RTTS and it went to the retired players screen, guys like AROD retiring because of age? Huge huge list of players. Is this normal?

My 14-0 (in AA), ~2.00 era, 100+ k pitcher was traded to the Brewers in a one to one trade. Forgot who I was traded for though.

FML. I tried to escape it by quitting out, but the autosave got me. In my RTTS I have been traded to the Seattle Mariners, along with SP Jimmy Nelson, for Blake Beavan.

              What a terrible trade.

I took a look at those 1996 rosters in the vault. Seem cool but the problem is can't really run a chise with them. Potentials are all wonky.

Someone is working on a All-Time franchise roster with no repeat players (i.e. Roberto Alomar isn't on the Indians, Jays & O's). They will have 40-man rosters, so you can run season-mode (which is franchise without the BS tv contracts, bank loans, etc.). I think it would be cool to see a guy like Willie Mays hit free-agency and see what happens or have Sandy Koufax traded to the Indians, etc.

Anyone still playing a franchise or RTTS? I'm still in my first season, of franchise, and just passed the trade deadline.

I am. Have one with my KG jr Winning Run rosters going and I'm in season 2 of my Cubs franchise as well.

How did season one with the Cubbies go? I had a deal in place to ship Shields to Arizona for Collmenter, Roberts and Davidson. All would have been under team control for multiple seasons and I felt that I could move Davidson to first and Roberts to second with Collmenter acting as a replacement in the rotation or as a long-man out of the pen. I ended up not pulling the trigger on the deal though.

Placed a claim on Marco Scutaro post July 31, but, the Rockies pulled him back. I attempted to send Shields, Brignac and Upton through trade-waivers just in case I could work a deal later in the season. Shields was pulled back after the A's claimed him. Brignac was pulled back after the Marlins placed a claim and Upton cleared trade-waivers and I did have an opportunity to acquire Eddie Rosario (Twins 'spec) plus additional players for Upton, but, I am holding off on that till I can get some guys off the DL and see where I am at that point.

I'm in April 2013 of my RTTS. Still don't have a home run. :carlosgomez:

I stopped playing RTTS after I got annoyed with the stupid advancement goals. They are way to arbitrary IMVHO

If I am tearing it up in AAA, but, I didn't work on my arm strength (as a 1B) I shouldn't be demoted or held up.

My first season with the Cubs went pretty badly. Lots of losses, but that was to be expected. LaHair had a big season but other than everyone else pretty much sucked. Including Castro. I moved Dempster and Soto to Texas for some pitching and a 19 year old catching prospect. Byrd was dealt to Cleveland for lefty ptching prospect Giovano Soto, and I moved Garza to Detroit for Jacob Turner and Daniel Fields IIRC.

I eventually just benched Soriano to get Jackson and Rizzo called up and get them playing time. Soriano retired after the end of the season.

Really didn't do much of anything in free agency. Started 1-0 in season 2. Lost 9 straight games and spoent the next month and a half clawing back to .500. I think it's June 1st right now and I'm like 26-26. LaHair and Rizzo are beasting. Rizzo leads the NL in homeruns and LaHair is 2nd in batting average.

My lineup looks like this generally.

                                Campana
                                Castro
                                Rizzo
                                LaHair
                                Ian Stewart
                                Brett Jackson
                                Valbuena
                                Castillo
                                (Pitcher)

                                Rotation
                                Samardzija
                                Jake Westbrook
                                Jacob Turner
                                Trey McNutt
                                Chris Volstad

Rafael Dolis is my closer after I let Marmol go in free agency.
