[360] Making a buy list

Just this past week, I purchased the 250gb Xbox holiday bundle to include: Fable III, Halo Reach and a 3 month gold membership. I also purchased the Gears triple pack and Halo CE anniversay. This is my 3rd 360, but it's been over 3 years since I last owned one.
I've been doing some shopping around looking to see what games I'm going to buy. So far, it's been tough to decide what to get. I'm looking at buying around 10 or so games. Would like to hear from the VSD community with your thoughts on must-have/buy games for this system. Exclusive or Mult-Plat (doesn't matter). Would like to hear on your favorite Live Arcade games as well. Here's what I've compiled so far:

1. Gears 3
2. Skyrim
3. Sonic Generations

Twigg and Brnt should have you covered on the Arcade, but my option from the arcade is the first Crysis. I have enjoyed playing the story on the 360, as I didn't have a PC to handle it.

IF you haven't played Assassin's Creed yet, I saw the second one being advertised for $10.

Crysis 2 was also a fun game and I enjoyed it.

Mass Effect 3 is coming out, so that means the first two are cheap right now as well, and it would be smart to play both.

Halo Wars will also be cheap, but was a very fun game, especially if you like RTS games. It is the best console RTS by far, and the control scheme was simple. I also have a feeling that the characters from this story may appear in the new Halo trilogy somehow.

I am sure I am forgetting a couple, but those are some cheaper games that should hold you over for awhile.

Definitely will look into those games. Played the 1st AC and haven't touched another since. I know, everyone says there is a huge difference for the better..... just haven't got back to it. Maybe a good time to check it out.
Played ME2 for the S3, for sure want to go through the first one. Thanks for reminding me on that.
Halo Wars also sounds like something I'd be interested in. Will have to research Crysis as well. Thanks for your input.

In the Arcade most of the Double Fine games are solid bets (Costume Quest, Stacking, Trenched), but I would watch some videos on each to see if you'd enjoy their genres.

Castle Crashers, Limbo, Braid, and Shadow Complex are awesome as well.

Super Meat boy is on sale until tommorow and is an excellent arcade game
Mortal Kombat Arcade is also on sale until tommorow, its a broken game but it'll be fixed by dec. 6th

Alien homonid, Scott Pilgrim, and xplosion man are all awesome arcade games

Call Of Duty: Black ops [zombie mode]

Good look on the arcade.... I have most of the games you listed for S3, except for Arkham City and Bayonetta. My Arkham Asylum disc is fucked up somehow though, so I've been thinking about both Batmans. I will research me some Bayonetta as well. Thanks for your thoughts.

Not really sleeping, just waiting for the price to go down on this one. I still have to play through 1 and 2. Just makes sense to save on a game that would still be in the wrapper 3 months from now if I bought it today.

Yea, I messed up and didn't buy BF3 for $28 on black friday. Gears 3 is already on my list. I haven't set my GT up for live yet. Will definitely add you when I do.

CODMW3 is already collecting dust for the S3.
It's really a shame, but a NBA2k game will probably not be purchased this year. Just didn't get the playing time that I would have liked out of a sports game last year.
Out of all of the games you listed, Fifa is the one you have me thinking on most.... going to study up on it.
SR3 will make it to the library, just not right away.
