I always love how it always seems to be the cool thing to do to shit on these awards. At the end of the day I thought they were entertaining, which is a lot more than I can say for those other stuffy awards shows. I do wish there was more actual award presenting though. For some reason this year it seemed like there were only actually three of four awards that were presented on stage. I guess because they were giving the Lifetime Achievement awards out and such which they haven't done before. Then it was weird how they just kind of rushed the most important award of the night, GoTY, because it appeared they obviously ran out of time.

Geoff Keighly busts his ass to put the show on each year and he's super passionate about it. It's not like anyone else on Earth gives a shit enough about this industry to organize an awards show. I felt like finding Justin Mcelroy last night and kicking him in his smug fucking face with all the bullshit he was spewing on Twitter last night.

That's exactly what I thought. It looked like a Ninja Gaiden clone and I have no interest of playing the NG games. I would play MGS if it were more accessible though.

Eh, I'm glad you enjoyed it, but it's mere existence isn't enough for me to give it a pass. It was pretty corny and unfunny IMO. I like the idea, but the actual outcome is pretty shitty.

Good call. I wasn't thinking of that but that is dead on. I also thought the male character in the trailer looked like the hobo Sam Fisher that Ubisoft canned for Splinter Cell: Conviction a while back.

The script at the end with him eating the turkey leg and drinking the vial of wonderpiss or whatever for a power up was painful to watch imo. The straw that broke the camel's back was when Justin McElroy ripped on the very part you mentioned, where the host drank the flask of blue liquid. He said something along the lines of "Any person that has played any game in their life knows that a red potion replenishes your health. This show is terrible." Yeah, well I play a shit ton of games and I didn't know that was gospel. Probably because I don't play nancy ass JRPG's with emo characters.

Pretty cool that Ray Rice won the "cover" for NFL Blitz although isn't that game supposed to be download only? How can you be a cover athlete for a downloadbale game?
