The bottom line is that an update is supposed to make the experience better, not worse, especially when you're paying for the "service".
There's nothing narrowminded about it. I don't care about the service, and I don't consider myself as paying for it because 1) I could get it for free; 2) I don't pay for gold for the dashboard. The dashboard is simply there for me as a means to get new stuff. It isn't my fault that I don't have as much trouble finding new things. Or any trouble really.

Also, just FYI: you're looking at the Featured section. If you hit the left bumper you can cycle through things like new games, new add ons, new demos, etc...and it lists all of the newest things in each category, arguably more organized than cramming everything in the first tab.

Yeah, so why is there even a "New Releases" tab in the Featured section then? Totally pointless and confusing.

Like I've said numerous times, this thing is supposed to be designed to make things easier for noobs and the Kinect crowd, but it does the exact opposite.

The only thing this new dash achieves is more real estate for ads which is complete bullshit.

And how can you get Live for free? And if you can, why don't you? That seems ridiculous.

Jesus, this is still an ongoing issue?

Silver members get Xbox Live for free. They just lose out on things like online multiplayer or apps. They can still use the dashboard, buy games, play trials, etc...

Also, a "Featured Section" is pretty common. Programs like Steam use it, and somehow people still manage to find new things. It's stuff that either MS wants to push or is currently popular. It's not exactly something that is horrible for them to do. It's new releases for featured items. Either way, this is a completely INSANE conversation because your point almost makes you sound like you're a 70 year old senator that thinks SOPA is a good idea. It's not hard to find ANYTHING. End of discussion.

              Oh, Silver, gotcha.

But still, why is there no "New Releases' tab for just XBLA games? They have Demos, Featured and a few other tabs but none for XBLA. You just have to hope it;s on the scrolling tab in the middle or otherwise know it was coming out.

You also act like I'm the only person that feels this way. Anyone else I talk to hates trying to find shit on this new dash. Every podcast I listen to complains how shitty it is. It somehow has more ads than it ever did.

That is my problem. So far every iteration of the dash seemingly improved things in one way or the other. There isn't a single thing about this shit that improved anything. It actually took several steps back.

What's more confusing or crazy? Me coming in here to complain about yet another shitty aspect of this thing or guys like you coming in constantly to defend it when you just keep saying the same thing over and over again of how YOU don't have a problem with it? If you think it's perfectly fine why bother continually posting? I can fathom a guess. It;s so the same people, KG, JMs, etc can thank your posts of you saying the same thing over and over.
