My hunting rifle and silenced 9mm are my guns of choice right now. I never found myself in a situation online where I could really use the shotgun. With that said, the shotgun was by far my favorite gun in the single player. Made taking down clickers a lot easier.Comment

Beat it last night. Definitely an interesting ending. Can't decide if I like it or not. It certainly makes sense and was well done, just very bittersweet.
Really enjoyed it. It still suffers occasionally from Naughty Dog Murder Man syndrome, but at least in this setting it was dialed back and made significantly more gritty. Charaters were great, particularly Ellie. Really hard to believe she was voice acted by that annoying little girl that was DJ's friend from Roseanne.
I won't be playing any New Game + yet (this was a Redbox rental for me as I had a free code), but I look forward to coming back and giving it another go again.Comment

for you guys that compelted the game already;
were you able to max out on alot of your weapons, with the parts you gathered during the game??
i would assume you focused on upgrading your favorite choice weapons......3rd & 14, inside your own 15, up 6, 3:20min left to go = call a PA Pass and Cancel. *its Legit, so no needless complainingComment

Not very far in the game, maybe 20%, but I died at least 6 times in that room with like 4 infected runners and a clicker. As soon as I pissed it off and lost where it was, game over. Not many games can make so few enemies so tough. Also has a great atmosphere so far too.Comment

Oh I loved it. Too often games have a stealth element but don't punish you for being found. This is almost splinter cell-esque.Comment

I found the Clickers to be pretty easy for the most part. Definitely the situation is the worst when there are Runners and anything else. Too many times I couldn't tell a Runner from a Clicker, shined my light right on him, and next thing I knew it was fucking bananas.
The bow is your friend! Excellent for both Runners and Clickers!Comment

Yeah I can handle only facing clickers, sneak and shiv all day. The clickers oh shit factor multiplies by 100 when you throw other infected in the mix.Comment

'The Last of Us' Has The Biggest Launch Of The Year With 1.3M Sold
We can talk about the review scores and the ending all we want, but there’s one more aspect of The Last of Us that we should be highlighting here. It’s the biggest game of the year so far, selling 1.3M copies in its first week, besting BioShock Infinite’s 1.16M sales over the same period, though you can take the unofficial numbers with a grain of salt.
Those aren’t Call of Duty numbers, but its hugely impressive anyway for a few reasons. First, this is a new IP, the first game (and possibly last) in a completely new and untested series. Yes, it’s from trusted developer Naughty Dog, behind PlayStation 3′s hit Uncharted trilogy, but it’s still a noteworthy accomplishment and speaks to the faith gamers place in the brand.
Secondly, this is an exclusive title for the PlayStation 3, unlike BioShock Infinite which was released on both PlayStation and Xbox, whose sales numbers combined to form that 1.16M. Very rarely can an exclusive titles put up numbers that best multi-platform AAA titles, but The Last of Us has simply struck a chord with gamers and reviewers alike in a way no exclusive, debut IP has in a very long time. This is a huge win for Sony , as they now have yet another exclusive notch in their belt that will prove to be a deciding factor in which console is picked by gamers in the coming war. Those firmly fixed in the Xbox camp are missing out on an incredible game right now.
