Gotta assume that while it's still a viable option, why would anybody want to bring a child into whatever's left of the world in this particular game?

Any young survivors in-between the Prologue and the start of the game in a 20 year span would have grown into the people that populate the game world.

That or they were eaten/infected/or worse.

Redbox'd this to see what's up with the single player. So far, so good on Hard. Materials are very hard to come by, and I've been forced to go the stealth route in pretty much all situations. I wouldn't say it's very difficult though. If you have the patience, you can map out a clean and efficient plan to quietly take down enemies.

One thing I don't like is how you can stealth take down a guy carrying a gun and not get any ammo from his body. I guess a lot of people have a gun just for show.

Anyone think a sequel is possible, perhaps a ps4 one? There was no closed ending and clearly infected will remain a threat. You advance maybe..3-5 years in time? Ellie grows up a bit, someone comes to Tommy's town that knows what happened in Salt Lake, she finds out Joel lied and leaves. Thus it begins? I would guess Joel is 47-50 in this game, so another couple years doesn't age him out of being incapable of continuing to be a badass. Since infected remain, logically they can continue to evolve into more dangerous types, etc. Thoughts?

most definitely........even though they the story is over but i dont think it has to end. it would be a shame if they didnt have a Part II/Sequel.......
3rd & 14, inside your own 15, up 6, 3:20min left to go = call a PA Pass and Cancel. *its Legit, so no needless complaining

Because he said that "communication sucks on ps3" as a blanket statement, as if it's any different on 360 when you play with randoms. That was my point. I'm not so sure why it's so difficult to understand?

MP was fun, but just like every TPS, I was getting my shit pushed in most of the time.

I loved the hotel. One of the most instense sections of the game, at least to that point. I'm literally just after that in my playthrough.

Waste high barriers EVERYWHERE? Here comes Hunters! Bottles and bricks literally ALL OVER THE GROUND (even in this science lab)? Look out for 'dem infected!

It's a small issue that in the end took away nothing from the game for me, but it bummed me out a little.

Hmmm, now that you put the thought in my mind I'll be constantly thinking about it. I think I'm either at or just prior to the halfway point and the last hour or so it has been like that. The security checkpoint, bookstore and the hotel. That really does take a lot of the suprise out of the encounters and is very similar to the tell tale tears in Infinite.

Unlike you, a good majority of men on this planet like to have sex with women. Are you going to honestly tell me that during an apocalypse people aren't going to be fucking any chance they get? Look at dumb ass Laurie on the Walking Dead. Hell, you know Joel was tagging the shit out of Tess. And it's not like there would be an abundance of contarception available. These people barely have fucking food. The question is a good one. Not seeing any child infected is pretty fucking dumb now that I think about it. I guess it's just Naughty Dog's way of avoiding an already sensitive situation considering the game is as graphic as it is. Could you imagine the outcry if Joel had to curb stomb a ten year old, infected or otherwise?

I play COD on XBOX, my roommate plays on PS3. I play when its hooked up in the living room. The amount of people with a headset on PS3 is much, much lower.

The pacing of this game is great too. Great mixture of small and large encounters.

I think pretty much any theories about the world of The Last of Us should be saved for after completion of the game.

This is for people who have finished Winter:

We all know that sick son of a bitch, David...

Apparently he's voiced and mo-capped by Nolan North.
