nah, i got bored with it. it was a puzzle game. the story and that little guy was "cute"....but when that wore off it was just a puzzle game
That's a pretty stupid way to look at it. But hey, to each their own. You're knocking a puzzle game for being a puzzle game? Did you ever play the first one?
Portal 2 probably had the best writing of the last decade in my opinion.
Well after finishing the SR3 story this weekend I'm going to update my list. That game was just pure insane fun. Loved every minute of it.
5. LA Noire
4. Uncharted 3: Drakes Deception
3. Saints Row The Third
2. Skyrim
1. Batman: Arkham City
I love the shit out of Battlefield's MP, but I just can't seem to put it on my list with that mind-numbingly boring and short campaign. Currently playing through inFamous 2 and haven't yet played Dead Space 2 either, so I don't have opinions on those 2 yet.
uncharted 3 and it aint that close. battlefield 3 is right up there, with skyrim. didn't get a chance to play arkham but I'm definitely going to check it out
Portal 2 felt much more like a straight adventure game than a puzzle game for me, even compared to the first one. You NEVER see that kind of atmosphere, voice acting, humor, set pieces, etc., etc. for a "puzzle" game. The puzzles felt more like clever and unique implementations of gameplay mechanics than having to solve similar problems over and over (like every puzzle game).
I would vote Portal 2 for best Co-Op Game of the Year... had PSN not shit out/I'd picked it up.
From all I've read about it and from personal accounts online, those who've played it with a buddy have highly recommended it just for the teamwork/trolling aspects alone.
Add the awesome voice-acting and it's a cinch.
But I'm the schlub who voted BF3/Dead Island/SR3, so what do I know?
