[360] Importing music to 360 Hard drive?

Is it impossible? I've tried burning a CD and ripping it but evidently Microsoft isn't having that, also tried streaming but the Save Playlist option is grayed out just like Rip CD is on a burnt CD. Is there any way to pull this off or has it literally became impossible unless you're importing an album you bought from a store? If that's the case then that's just fucking retarded. Fuck you Microsoft regardless for making simple shit this difficult.

    1. Put music on external HD
    2. Go to music player.
    3. Select portable device.
    4. Profit.

I have my music on iTunes under playlists and it shows up. I have custom music for NCAA FB, what does suck is if I want a specific song, I have to make a folder for that 1 song. In NHL 12, I have one playlist that has 100's of songs for when there is a break in play.

Didn't work. I have my external hard drive connected through the USB in the front and it won't show up. I even added a Music file to it. Any Help?

Pretty sure HDDs don't work on 360. That method would work on PS3, though.

I know it would work on PS3, which is why I'm starting to get bummed I didn't get 2k on PS3. I don't understand why Microsoft would completely get rid of this feature. Is there anyway to disguise a blank CD as a store bought one or some shit? Any sort of loop hole around this stupid issue?

I have my 360 networked to my computers so I can just stream whatever I want to listen to....basically because I have like 36MB left on my 40 gig hard drive.

How about a USB stick? Have you got one?

Just as I suspected it doesn't work. You can play music through a USB stick/external hard drive just fine but it doesn't give you the option to save it to your 360 hard drive. Fuckin' A

Weak sauce. Do you have a PC, at all? That's the easiest way to do the arena music.

How did you burn the cd..as a CD or CD-MP3 ?

Coulda sworn one of those was possible.

Is the HDD not showing up at all or you just cant copy music ?
Google it but I recall the HDD needing to be FAT32 no NTFS support.
Best reason to have a license.
