That part is beyond confusing to me.

I wasn't wild about the camera controls, and for all the talk of the combat it wasn't clicking for me in the demo. However, I'm more than willing to give the final product a chance. Maybe it can make up for the piece of shit that Fable 3 was (even if it isn't trying to).

I wasn't a fan of the camera either. It seemed really "loose" or something and didn't seem to properly center when you looked left or right. I did adjust the sensitivity quite a bit and it made it a lot better.

I thought the combat was pretty awesome.

I should do that, because it felt too loose to me too.

And I am probably being unfair to the combat, it just didn't grab me at first. I do remember watching the video afterwards and it showing how you can seamlessly utilize different weapons like God of War and I realized maybe I was playing it too much like a traditional RPG.

My friend said he really liked this game because it reminded him of Fable 1. So I'm gonna give it a look. What's the storyline?

You died during a battle but are resurrected by a Dwarf Necromancer.

From there, you create what you look like and earn stats in magic, fighting or being a sneaky twat while playing.

Fetch quests, monster slaying and an overarching story of mortals fighting immortals also included.

Oddly close to the story in Dungeon Hunter

The dude experimented on patched together corpses and inserted the souls of dead people.

The results were to be expected.

Then somehow, two of the guys assistants found your body and somehow your soul up with it perfectly.

No Frankenstein shit but we're led to believe these are the GOOD guys? Does not compute.

One reason is I hated Oblivion. The other is that I probably would like Skyrim but I don't want or need to spend 80+ hours on one game right now.

I played the demo last night and although the game is kinda cool, I wasn't all that impressed by it. I'm really not a fan of these types of games so I'm not a fanboy when I say that Skyrim is much better.

This isn't a bad game though, especially from an ex pitcher.

I don't think that Schilling is involved at all. I think 38 is focused on the MMO. By all accounts this game sounds like it existed beforehand and was then made to fit within the Amalur universe.

38 Studios is focused on the MMO, Project Copernicus. However, they also purchased Big Huge Games in 2009 with the intention of using the branching off the Amalur universe into a single-player game.

38 Studios is pretty involved in the development of KoA: Reckoning. They just aren't the lead dev team.
