Loved the early PSX RE's. This Anthology set intrigues me.

You played the game wrong if you thought the old RE's were a slow walk and shoot game, the games were not meant to be shooters. RE4 did more harm to the franchise than anything, setting up the stage for RE5 to be a PUSH A HERP DERP TO SOLVE THIS PUZZLE, ALSO HERE'S A ROCKET LAUNCHER IN THE FIRST 20 MIN LOLZ.Comment

After the shit Swarley and I went through last night (and well into this morning) I don't even know if I want this game anymore.
If I do get it I think I'm still steering towards that Xbox Archives version. It would be cool to have all the PS1 games but I highly doubt if I would ever replay them because they definitely don't hold up anymore. Whereas I would play RE4 HD and Code Veronica HD. Plus they both have full cheevo support because they are Games on Demand games, whereas on PS3 they have limited trophy support and no Platinum. I know most don't care about that but it's another factor for me. And lastly, I already have RE5 Gold for PS3, but I just have vanilla RE5 for 360.Comment

After playing through RE5 and both DLCs with Swarley I'm going to go with the Xbox Archives version for sure. As much as some sections were a pain in the ass I would play through them again, and whereas I will probably never play the PS1 games. It just seems like the better deal for me. Plus I could trade in or sell my 360 copy of RE5 vanilla.Comment

Resident Evil 6 to use free online stat service, ResidentEvil.net
It's called ResidentEvil.net, and according to Capcom, it's "massive". Launching with Resident Evil 6, the free site tracks all your game data—such as enemy kills, which weapons you dominate with, and your Mercenaries score, among others—to compare with Resident Evil 6 players all over the world.
Besides allowing players to see how they stack up, ResidentEvil.net will also allow Capcom to schedule events and shower participants with RE.net points that can be used to redeemed for things like in-game costumes.
Each event, however, will have one "winner". The champ will get a champion belt, and to keep it, that player will have to keep playing. Capcom will list past champs, so your RE6 glory will be there for all to see.
Here are the first images of ResidentEvil.net. Check 'em out..
