Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas

I just popped this game into my PS3. It's my first time playing the game since probably 2006. I only managed to get as far as the first game save before I ran out of time and had to run to work (bout 10 minutes) and now I can't wait to go home and play some more.

Can we all agree that San Andreas is the best GTA that Rockstar released?

A lot of people think Vice City is better I dont know why San Andreas is by far the best

Easily the best. I think it's greatness was shown even more with the fact that GTA4 sucked in comparison.

Honestly it may not be the "best" per say, but GTA III was certainly the funnest I ever had with ANY video game during a point in time (which was about 8 straight months) that I've ever played. Simply cause it was the very first sandbox game of it's kind that I had played.

San Andreas was definitely good but it's also the only GTA I didn't beat (not including I & II) mainly cause I got all the way to Las Venturas close to beating the game and then one day my save file was corrupted...I was so pissed off that I just never bothered to play the game again. Maybe I should pick it back up though seeing as GTA 5 is going back to Cali.

Sidenizzle - San Andreas also had a plethora of notable actors for the voices (Samuel Jackson, Game, Ice-T, Charlie Murphy, Chris Penn (RIP), and my personal favorite, James Woods) which was absolutely awesome.

I'm riding my bike and getting chased by a car full of Ballas. I head onto Grove Street where a bunch of green shirts come out and open fire at the car...

Fuckin' love this game.

Not sure. I'm lucky enough to have a backwards-compatible launch PS3.

San Andreas is an XBL Original so as far as i'm concerned its still there to be downloaded.

San Andreas has my vote, yes.

In a vacuum, I would say Vice City. There's something about a well done 80's vibe that will suck me in 10 out of 10 times. However, the improvements to the GTA engine from Vice City to San Andreas (mostly no longer dying when jumping/crashing into water) makes the latter my favorite in the series.

Plus, I can be a thugged out gangsta from the safety of my living room.
