    Madden 10 CLASSIC Rosters!!!!

Just found some CLASSIC rosters for Madden 10 online. They are from CAPLords, and I DL'ed the first set. The nice thing about these rosters is that he created a roster set where you have to load each team individually, but, it allows you to edit what he has already done. Then, when you are ready to play, you just load the team as a Create-A-Team.

I just played the '65 Browns as the '76 Raiders and won 14-10 on a 5-yard touchdown pass from Stabler to Dave Casper. Fred Biletnikoff had 5 catches for 75 yards and a touchdown. The game ended when Otis Sistrunk sacked Frank Ryan on 4th down to secure a Raider victory.

It was pretty fucking cool playing with all the real players. He also did his best to re-create each player with their actual equipment and facemasks. If you guys are interested, let me know and I will find somewhere to upload and share.

This is really fun for the off-season for anyone that loves the history of the game. Just keep in mind, these rosters ONLY work for Madden 10 on the PS3.

For anyone that doesn't have Madden 10, you can pick it up at Gamestop for around $4. Definitely worth it IMVHO for the roster sets. Pretty much every team, except for the Texans has a classic roster set-up (i.e. '96 Panthers, '02 Falcons w/Vick) and the ratings are done for each player - so not everyone is a 99 or a 98, etc.

Just a FYI, to get the rosters to work correctly, you have to take some different steps. The original creator separated his work into folders titled "subscription #1, 2, 3, etc."

Because of this, you will run into some issues when you simply drag/drop onto your flash drive. It happened to me, so I assume it may happen to some of you. Here is a step by step guide to get the rosters to work properly.

    1) open the folder titled "subscription #1" and you should see a folder that says "PS3," double click and you should see a folder that says "SAVEDATA," at this point you should see a series of folders that begin with "BLUS."

    2) You should notice that each team has TWO BLUS folders. One of the folders will say "Roster" the other will say "Team." For example, the folder named "subscription #8" has the '88 Bengals, '77 Broncos and '83 Raiders. Thus, you will have SIX folders that begin with "BLUS" total. Two for the Bengals (one will say Roster, the other will say Team), two for the Broncos and two for the Raiders.

    3) You will want to manually copy each of these "BLUS" folders and save them to your computer. I made a folder for mine that is titled "CAPSLord Classic Teams." Repeat this process for each subscription folder you want. MAKE SURE YOU ARE NOT COPYING THE ENTIRE SUBSCRIPTION FOLDER YOURSELF!!! ACTUALLY GO INTO THE FOLDER AND COPY THE "BLUS" FOLDER FOR EACH TEAM YOU WANT. IF YOU DON'T DO THIS AND SIMPLY COPY THE SUBSCRIPTION FOLDER...IT WON'T WORK.

    4) Once you have all team folders copied and saved to your computer, copy all of the "BLUS" folders for each team you want (both the roster and team folder) and copy them to your USB via the typical transfer (click on PS3 folder in USB, then SAVEDATA folder in USB and save there.

    5) Turn on your PS3, and copy each of the team and roster files that you want to use in-game. This may take a few minutes depending on how many teams you want. No more than 20 minutes though.

    6) Turn on Madden 10 and go to "Play Now" and choose to load a "Create-a-Team," this will then list all of the teams you copied into Madden 10. Do the same for the other Classic team you want to use.

    7) If you want to edit the players ratings, equipment, etc. you must load one team at a time. For example, if you want to edit Johnny Unitas' ratings, you would load a ROSTER and select the 1970 Colts roster that you copied to your PS3. When you go into player management, the Colts will be filled with the 1970 roster, BUT, every other team will have their default roster. Then, if you load the '92 Cowboys, the Cowboys will be the only classic team and the Colts will go to their default roster.

Summing it up, the BLUS-ROSTER folder is needed so you can edit how you wish and the BLUS-TEAM folder is needed so you can actually play as that team.
