if they do put out a patch, will it fix the gameplay in an already started franchise?

If it was solely for the purpose of writing a review, that's cool, but I learned my lesson after the 07 version and reaffirmed it after playing this year's demo.

I just haven't seen you posting your thoughts about The Show and was wondering, if you enjoy baseball games, why haven't you gotten it yet?
Rented this mainly for the review and the possibility of playing online since I knew The Show online was pretty much unplayable. I enjoyed 2K7 and played that quite a bit and I was expecting 2K9 to produce much better than 2K8 did. I haven't had my PS3 for a while now because I gave it to my dad. The only reason I have a PS3 is for The Show and until I go home, I won't be playing it. I haven't posted much of my thoughts on The Show solely because I don't feel like I've played it enough to write any solid comments without bias. I love baseball games and I really enjoyed The Show last year but to be honest, until I came to this forum and Sports House, I never really played anything online outside of Halo and Gears of War outside of my personal friends. It would have been unfair to base both games strictly on their demos so that is why I rented 2K9. I'll be buying The Show around the time the season starts so the rosters will be updated to start a franchise or maybe a Road To The Show but like I said, I haven't played it enough to write a detailed review.

Thanks. Anything else you encountered along the way that I missed?

Wow, I can't believe I forgot to mention that. I'll add that to the list soon.
