This is because 2K has never properly integrated rebounding and/or boxing out. On numerous occasions you will see players morphing through box outs or simply jump over the back, pushing players out of the way ect ect. The ball will bounce into players hands, get sucked into hands or just make awful attempts at grabbing the ball.

Basically in 2k Vertical is the primary attribute for rebounding. In My Player I have 60/60 rebounding but 99 Vert and I get 15 boards a game as a 6'8 SF

In a franchise I made a specific point to just follow around Jarrett Payton and pump him into a good starter.

As a runningback he ended up having like a 12 year career, starting the majority of it with the Steelers. The team won 2 more super bowls with him as their starting HB and he ended up with about 12,000 yards and 90 some touchdowns.

I won MVP with Henry Burris on one version of Madden.

        Ditto Akili Smith.

        Good times

I remember Ken Simonton would always enter Madden off of NCAA as some kind of ridiculous stud too.

In Madden 08 I would use the option cheese with the Dolphins and use Reagan Mauia as my RB just to piss people off that a like 70 speed FB was scoring 5 TD's a game. He was money at running people over though

Pat Burrell on the Rays. Best hitter in MLB The Show history.

burrell didnt really suck in real life though. He certainly played way above his real life potential in the league....i still think it was due to your gameshark but there was never any proof of that

now i would add Anthony Reyes from season 1 of the sombrero. that side arm motion seemed to really mess people up

Phillip Adams (Defensive Back - 60ish Rating) - So much heart and always made the big play.

Michael Stone - (Safety) - Once nearly had himself killed twice by Jamal Louis. First player I've ever seen get hurt twice in a game, only to come back and hurt the player who hurt him the first two times. Heart.

I probably already mentioned this but since The Show just came out, it's on my mind... Glenallen Hill was my left fielder and 6-hole hitter in any fantasy draft team I ever assembled on various baseball video games as a youth.
