It really isn't hard (or very expensive) to pick parts that allow you to run the latest games on PC with markedly better performance than the current gen consoles. The only question is how much do you want to spend up front to extend the gaming life and upgradability of your PC.

Yup. Sorry I prefer plug and play and not having to worry about adjusting 100 settings and shit.

the PC (not with monitor) was about $1200 but i could have saved another 300 if i went with a smaller case and elminated some extras i didnt need. and what i have will still be fine in 6-12 months. in 12 months i might have to bump a game down 1 notch from ultra. But i have another 2 years before i have to worry about a graphics card upgrade. And i can pop in another ram chip for $20 if i need to.

none of my shit is overclocked either.

idk, maybe your just hating to hate...if thats the case then i wont try and discuss the pros/cons. but PC games look amazing compared to console and the ability to mod a game means you can make a game more enjoyable long term. all the little quirks you find yourself hating about a game are usually shared by everyone else and fixed by mods. not to mention the other shit the mod community makes to make a game more fun.

i will say that the online community sucks imo. but if you play solo or coop its awesome

That's fine and dandy. I've alreadystated that I recognize the fact that PC games look better than console ones. But for $1200 I can get all three of the new systems (assuming the 720 and PS4 will be around $400 as predicted) and never have to worry about changing a single component, or adjust any settings for around five years. Unless the hardware craps out (I'm looking at you M$) then I know that I can always just pop a game in and play. I'm sorry, but for me that isn't even a competition, consoles win by slaughter rule.

Lets not forget that twigg replaced both his ps3 and xbox for newer models and also changed 2 hdds in both ps3s this current gen.

you have no frame of reference because you never played a PC game. you cant just say they look better and leave it at that. The difference is so great that one could say the console wins by a slaughter. and you are focusing on that 1 aspect. there are many other factors way beyond just how games look
