Madden 10 - Route running prototype based on Jerry Rice Youtube vid

Originally I was just going to put this in the new blog post thread, but this is kinda cool IMO so I figured I'd start a new one.

Someone posted the Jerry Rice route running video in the other thread where he just schools some young kid trying to cover him with a double move. Here's that video:

I thought it'd be cool to showcase our version of that as well. We have a very similar double move compared to the one Jerry ran (though I don't know if we'll ever get them as clean as his unless he captures them), and as I mentioned in the blog, we've re-worked our man coverage to be much more animation based so I had a reaction animation like that as well. This type of situation that Jerry put on that poor kid should happen in Madden for a big difference in Route Running vs. Man Coverage ratings, so I figured I'd show what it will look like. Just for fun, I tried to emulate the camera work too (that's what that big square in the middle is...the target point).

It's definitely not exact, but it's pretty close. Hope you dig it

Hopefully good cornerbacks won't get beat with this move all the time or else it would be unrealistic and would be the "money play" everyone uses. If it depends on route running ability for the wr and awareness for the cb then I think this will be sick.

They said that weather or not they get beat, and how much seperation will depend on Awrness and other CB ratings, as well as WR ratings. So like Fabian Washington would get smoked on that play if Fitz ran it, but Asmougha would be much closer and maybe be able to get a hand on it.

They say they fixed it so the receivers look in at the QB before the snap but I've yet to see a video where the receiver isnt looking straight ahead like always.

they didnt even base it off of jerry rice. ian just saw that jerry rice video when someone posted and said "hey we have a similar animation to that, here it is". they didnt see the jerry rice video and try to copy it.

its a pretty common route anyway

Rams DBs are probably the worst in the game. Their man COV rating this year was mid 70s for the BEST DB on the team I believe, maybe low 80s.

So basically the rams have low DB ratings, im sure most opf you guys here run witht the top 5-6 teams cuz u guys are 'fans' so to compete im gonna need to zones, not just any zones but superzones.
