PlayStation Network Regular Scheduled Maintenance on Thursday

PlayStation Network will undergo a significant maintenance period on Thursday, March 1st. Maintenance is expected to start at just after 8:00 am Pacific and will last for several hours, until approximately 10pm Pacific. Unlike typical maintenance events, consumers who are already signed-in to PSN will be signed-out, and consumers will be unable to sign in for the duration of the maintenance window. During this time, users won’t be able to access the PlayStation Store, PlayStation Home, Account Management or play online.

PSN enabled websites will not be able to service users, including this one. Please stay tuned to the PlayStation Twitter feed for a notice when PSN is fully back online.

We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.

I've only been using my PS3 to play GTA: San Andreas for the last month so I probably wouldn't even notice.

The last one was UK only because I never had any problems logging in when it was supposed to be down.

Is PSN offline for you guys? I booted my PS3 to play offline and it logged right on with no problems. Could very well be sporadic throughout the day though.

@PlayStation Update: Tomorrow's scheduled PSN maintenance has been postponed. We'll update everyone once it's rescheduled. Until then, game on.

6:45 last night on their Twitter feed? Weak last minute effort to notify folks about the postponement on their part. I love Sony but they are a fricking soup sandwich sometimes.

You've got another hour- starts at 10 AM PST/1 PM EST. Why they go offline for this stuff, I have no idea.

EDIT: Since it was postponed, why didn't they announce a date? Is the update not that important?

I thought my wifi was fucked because I had just changed security settings and I was signed out of both the PSP and PS3 around the same time and couldnt get back on.

Looks like today/night is it. Another Madden draft that will be simmed while I'm at work during the middle of the week now. Nice, need to update my Xbox as well.....
