If you play through 1 and 2, you should play through Brotherhood and Revelations as well. If not, I posted a thread, "Assassin's Creed: The Story So Far" in this forum that has all the major cutscenes from the first 4 games.

I'd say just watch the vids Swarley posted in the other Ass Creed thread.

1 is pretty rough but 2 is one of the best games of this generation IMO. My recommendation would be to skip 1 and Revelations. Brotherhood is also great.

I did. Was let down. Although my opinion of the entire game has basically been "good but wasted potential". I found it to be overall disappointing.

I'm digging the naval combat missions. Not sure why but they're fun to me ...
The king was shaken. He went up to the room over the gateway and wept.
As he went, he said: "O my son Absalom! My son, my son Absalom!
If only I had died instead of you
O Absalom, my son, my son!"

Those were actually my favorite part of the game and one of the key missed opportunities the main story missed IMO. There just weren't enough reasons to do them. They were gorgeous though and fun as hell.

Are those the missions that are only on PS3 or is that something different?

I assumed he was just talking about the naval missions. I also played a rented 360 copy so maybe he's referring to something else.

I'll be firing this game up tomorrow. I picked it up for the 360 since I wanted the limited edition and I couldn't find one for the PS3 anywhere. I am going to be hella busy trying to finish it before Black Ops II drops.

I wasn't really actively looking for them but the only store I noticed that had them was Target and they were also only for 360.

Not sure what was going on with that but I have still seen some 360 limited editions on the shelf in Best Buy. The PS3 version must have been more popular due to the exclusive missions for that console. I just wanted to mix it up some since I have been playing my 360 more over the past month for Borderlands 2.

Been doing some of the side stuff since beating the main story a couple days ago. The combination of the time period and weapons give this AC the best replay ability IMO.

Instead, you went in the other direction and put side shit way far apart, with a bunch of wilderness and shit for the horse to get "stuck" on. I was going for some of those Peg Leg Trinkets, but some of them are so far off the beaten path, and the horse's refusal to jump down off even the smallest of ledges is rage inducing.
There is one in the homestead that took me literally half an hour to get to. There is only one way up the cliff and it took me FOREVER to find it.
