i have tried the crossfire adaptor before and it had dead zones in the sticks. i have not tired any 3rd party controllers.

Someone fucked up and put Mass Effect 2 on the second install disc for the boxed PC version.

played a few games this morning. not having any issues like the the entire PC community is going on and on about. each mode has its own start up icon so each mode had to be installed upon playing...took about 2 mins for each. only playing MP...hardcore is open right away (past game is played were level 19) games played super smooth and found matches rather quickly to my surprise

any steam online people able to help me out with my headset issue?

im using a wired 360 controller and a 360 headset. my steam settings for voice has both the mic and headset enabled and the tests work just fine. My W7 sounds settings are also setup with the headset earphone as the default communication device for playback and mic is the default communication device for recording...

speakers are the default device for playback

when i go into the game i can only hear people out of my speakers and i dont think anyone can hear me cause nobody responds and the even in the lobby your speaker icon will generally light up when you talk...i get nothing. on 360 that speak icon lights up when u speak...so i assume it would do that on PC too

when i look at the Black Ops 2 sound tab in the game options it shows my speakers as the device being used and there is no option for my headset...voice chat is enabled.

I'm inclined to think there is a problem with Black Ops 2, but can you test your headset/mic on another game to make sure?

Just got back from Redbox with a copy for the 360. Have to say, I feel much better about myself this year only spending $6 or so rather than $60 lol.

Yup. Surprisingly with how money hungry Activision is, they don't have online passes.

One thing I'm loving so far is how you can completely customize your classes with whatever attachments/perks you want. You just have to limit it to 10 slots. I ain't even been using any type of concussion/flashbang grenades using those slots on other perks and attachments.

skyrim is the only other steam game i have. i hear other people, but they cant hear me. I tried the 360 headset, a usb headset and a headset with 3.5mm jacks. i can hear with all, but nobody can hear me.

i did notice in the mic properties that the level icon was muted....i clicked that thinking it was the issue, but it did wasmake it so i can hear myself through my headset speakers.

i opened up skype too and the mics and headset work perfectly in skype. instead of enjoying the game today i been dealing with trying to get this to work...pissing me off

aside from my headset frustrations, the game is alot of fun. its very familiar and i have not played since MW2 so i imagine its even more of the same for people who have been playing every year.

i like the maps alot. good variety as always. perks seem the same as usual. i do like the customization they have though. using 2 #1 perks instead of using a 1, 2 and 3...u can kind of mix and match how rudi was saying. the create an emblem tool is nice. something to do when your bored i suppose.

on pc, no lag or framerate drops at all. matchmaking is very quick. i remember in past games sitting in lobbies ready to launch and waiting forever only to have it boot you back to the menu. have not had any issues like that so far.

if you played cod then you know what this game is....to me its like a 60 upgrade. its the same game with new maps and a new sp story..still fun though
