I'm in the minority here, i enjoy Jay as the host. He has the whole thing under control. Yeah bomber is great, his voice is the drawing factor but does it matter who hosts really? You get to hear bomber in the podcast, is that not good enough?

I can't tell if Jay is joking or not. He needs to be on the Podcast as his organizational abilities and contributions are great. I just don't think he should host.

I just saw this thread and some of the reactions are pretty funny...

My thoughts (what I said in the CB and echoed by many others):

Dizzle is a great producer, and does well giving you guys topics to talk about, but his voice is too monotone to be the host...

Brnt is brnt, a wildcard...

Bomber should be the host, b/c he is the expert and has the voice of an angel, and also is better at keeping everything rolling smoothly...

I understand twigg plays a shit ton of games, but that alone doesn't mean he should be on the podcast (hell misogi and stealthshot play as many or more games)... Whenever the cast starts rolling along smoothly, twigg will interject and derail it...

Im just throwing in my two cents b/c if you guys want this to take off then you need to appeal to more people, and im pretty much your average listener... But this is just for fun, so fuck what I think(especially since I've listened to two of the casts, and I'm not a gamer).. I really just want my money back...

There is you, and then there is every other potential listener... By all means if its just for fun, keep on keeping on... But if you want broad appeal, he needs to tone it down or leave altogether... I'm sure he will overreact to this, but I'm just stating generalities, not trying to hate...

Lets just say I'm old fashioned and believe in sticking to my roots. No respect for a group that can't seem to stick to originality. Founding members are a fundamental cog in what makes things run. No respect for anyone that wants to go against what made this podcast what it has become and TWIGG is a major cog!

I guess I should've known who was bad mouthing me in the CB, and it wouldn't take long to figure out the lackeys that agree with his opinion. I'm not sure what I ever did to piss Atlas off but honestly I don't give a fuck. Is it because I supposedly owe him money for something I never agreed to? That can't be it because as far as I know he still likes Brnt and gave a PS3 to the guy that agreed to the podomatic deal in the first place. All I know is I went from him asking me to be a Mod in the old Game Room section to one day having that removed. I never did anything with it though so I didn't care either way. Now basically every "vet" of the site is some kind of mod except me, which I get a serious laugh out of. I should take a picture of my face right now though to show how much of a fuck I give about that. I just think it's amusing.

Either way, as far as I'm concerned I'm doing it for fun but I also think I bring a modicum of credibilty to this thing. I don't talk out of my ass and I'm passionate about games. When I interject it's normally because I feel strongly about something and want to help further the discussion on a certain topic. It's no secret that I'm outspoken so I'm not afraid to put my two cents in. I'm also the only person involved (that I know of) that has done anything remotely to promote this thing. Whenever I can I put the word out on Twitter and Facebook. I would venture to say that 80% of the loyal listeners of the show are people that I brought on board. Co-workers, family members and other gamers that have their own podcasts like the Gamer Husbands and the 40 Cast Crew.

I also think that Jay does a tremendous job. I think he's a damn fine host and is the backbone of the whole operation. I think his only fault is his lack or organization sometimes with getting people together and misunderstanding communications on occasion. I think the copious amount of shit he gets from people around here is borderline ridiculous. I bust his balls but it's only because I love the kid. He obviously puts a lot of hard work into this shit. Bomber is the consummate professional and an amazing host. I honestly don't see how I can be seen as "sidetracking" or "derailing" the show anymore than he ever does with his anectdotes like "Honestly Brnt, I've always pictured you as the guy that bums cigarettes off of everyone..." and then ten minute long discussion about how he pictures everyone. BUt I personally think that is awesome and what makes the show unique. Brnt is defintely the wild card and brings a nice heaping of comic relief.

Hell, we had quite the time "derailing" the show last week and still managed to cover all the topics in under an hour and a half.

Also, LOL at Med saying Knubb is the "muscle" of the group. That mfer hasn't done one of these things in forever. And when he was on it was just "That shit is butt cheeks." "Fuck Xbox." I still love Knubb though.

Please Atlas, elaborate on what I need to "tone down". I would love to hear your expert opinion.

Twigg, I wouldn't worry about it too much.

As it stands right now:

- Jay is the most balanced of the bunch. He keeps us organized, sets the agenda, pulls the group together, and provides solid commentary. He needs to be the backbone and a regular contributor.

- Bomber is the talent. He arrives on set two hours late, but he does exactly what he's supposed to do with the god-given talent he has and he puts asses in the seats. There's simply no replacement for that.

- Twigg is the researcher. No one wastes money on games like Twigg does and nobody else spends has their thumbs on the sticks as often as he. Frankly, his opinion IS more qualified than the rest of us simply because of how much time he puts in to playing his systems.

- I'm the weirdo that hangs around on the corner that these guys run by every day. I somehow got to know them and made them laugh a lot, so they let me come in (half-drunk and half-naked) and amuse them for a ham sandwich. Every harvest moon I'll say something with a modicum of value.

That's how this thing works. There's no reason to bitch about any of it, because it wouldn't really be the same without any of us.

KNUBB and Brink are normally in jail.

VSD Arcade Podcast is 70% video games and 30% "Hold my dick" and if you don't like that then you are going to be extremely irritated.

Is it a bad thing that the most activity this site's given the 'Cast in weeks comes from assessing said 'Cast's self-worth?

 

Also, IDGAF who "likes" or doesn't "like" the thing. You still DL it and if that doesn't work, it's still discussed.

Now I want to take that and bring it to a wider audience.
