I'm already pissed off that there seems to be no mention of changes to franchise. Guess we'll have to see.

There was supposed monumental changes to M12. I bought it and then sold it used within a week and I never missed it. I hated it and that was my first Madden since 09. I know this is Kolbe's first full year on the squad so this will be the year he makes his first real impact. But as always, this is EA we're talking about. I'm a skeptic until proven otherwise.

No doubt. NCAA is a day one purchase for me, but I'm waiting on Madden. M12 sucked ass.

I read that NCAA is already talking about a defensive AI update where the defenders actually react to the ball and don't run the route ahead of the WR. That would be HUGE if it is implemented correctly. That's one of my biggest gripes about playing on All-Madden difficulty. Almost impossible to pass if the defender is running the route better than your WR and that would never happen in the NFL because the WR would just break it up field for the easy TD once the DB made a cut to the inside/outside.

M12 is pretty good. Stripping the ball is very unrealistic and so are the injuries.

NCAA12 was awful. The most pathetic piece of work done by EA in a long time. I have bought both games every year since I 1999 but will prob rent NCAA13 only to be disappointed again.

I'm intrigued at what that could be. User v User in a BAP type format? Possibly multiple players in a franchise style format?

Fuck that would be tits. OF cept it's BAP instead. My mind just exploded.

It's probably some sort of social networking career mode.

new announcing duo is Nantz and Simms (was announced on Awful Announcing last week)

EA Sports’s long-running Madden franchise has a pair of new announcers for this summer’s edition of the game, just two years removed from changing the announcers again. And those new announcers… are Jim Nantz and Phil Simms of CBS, replacing the duo of Gus Johnson and Cris Collinsworth that did the in-game commentary over the Read more...

Madden NFL 13 is all new from the ground up, including an online Connected Careers mode where you can build your own personal legacy or relive a legend’s, all while each of your milestones gets broadcast in a socially connected universe. Jim Nantz and Phil Simms call the action from the booth, while you call your own shots using Kinect.
                    LOL

See. Don't expect EA to reinvent the wheel.

I don't mind Nantz' play-by-play, but I don't care for Simms. At least it'll be a duo that can go back and forth, with experience as a booth duo.

I wonder as well since one of the pre order bonuses is John Madden for this mode.

Madden team is simply abandoning Online Franchise. No way to monetize it, I guess...
