It's a matter of patience for me...of which I'm guessing the Walking Dead will win out. Fuck this video game habit.Comment

I just beat Episode 3.
Fuck your perception of what "fucked up" is from Episode 1 and 2 because Ep. 3 is a killer.
I never had so many WTF moments in one sitting for a game before and when I was done, shit hurt a little inside.
Maybe it's because of the investment I put into the characters of the game or just seeing how far the producers were willing to push the envelope... but I NEVER felt anything for a game or it's story before like this.
PLOT POINT SPOILERS (i.e., what I did according to the game):
I'm not kidding, stupid.
-I didn't shoot the pleading women in the street when me and Kenny raided the drug store one last time
-I didn't abandon Lilly to the Raider/Walker attack
-I fought Kenny on the train to calm his ass down a bit
-I didn't shoot Duck when he finally turned
-I didn't help Omid when him and his girl were running for the train... I didn't think about it at the time but I'd rather have another chick in the group to counter-act the Sausage Percentage.
There are SO MANY branching choices that I didn't even touch in the game yet for this Episode and it shows that either the game producers have a big tree of plot points to go over or this shit's gonna be a convoluted mess before it's all said and done.Comment

I was telling my wife about what happened in this episode and I got:
"WTF kind of games are you playing?!?
-I didn't shoot the woman in the street.
-I abandoned Lilly. I've been waiting to get rid of this bitch for an episode and a half, plus you can't just go around shooting people. Good riddance.
-I talked Kenny down without having to fight.
-I shot duck when he turned.
-I helped the woman onto the train rather than Omid. It was more of a reaction type button press and it happened to be her. Given the choice, it would have been him. She seems like Lilly v2.0.Comment

Since you both chose the woman, does Omid live? I chose Omid because I figured the train was moving fairly slowly and Omid was the one with the busted leg. My guess paid off because Christa or whatever ended up catching up and jumping onto the train.
I'm curious how much actual choice is going on here, and how much of it is just very carefully planned consequences. I want to play through my other save where I kept Doug alive. I figured if Lilly ends up shooting him when he's there instead of Carly, I'll know that while you make choices, the game has a very distinct path it's taking you on (other examples of this: Larry dies no matter what, Shawn dies no matter what, Duck dies no matter what. All of these people I can gain influence with and build relationships with, but it seems like they all die no matter what, so my choices don't seem to really be making a difference. We'll see though. I personally think it will be a huge cop out and kind of lame if Doug gets a bullet in the dome instead of Carly.Comment

I grabbed Christa first because she was closer (and with that busted leg, Omid was Walker-Bait... even though it was my fault for jumping onto the train car first and him jumping at the last second).
Until Chapter 4 hits, we'll never know what flagged programs we tripped for saving either-or first.
As for the Doug/Carly situation, I think whoever you chose to stick with you until this Chapter is going to bite it no matter what.
It establishes that Lilly's leaving the group in one way or another (I didn't abandon her and I have NO idea what would happen if you COULD do so) and that the writers are making room for new people to join the group.
The game is like the comics and not the TV show in that ANYONE can die at ANY time and it doesn't matter if they're the lead character, a buddy or some one-off Redshirt... the series changes people over like folks swap socks during the week.Comment

They don't with PS+ either. I checked the store and didn't see it (didn't look that hard) so downloaded it through the games' download content section.Comment

I too want to know what would have happend had I saved doug. Doesnt seem as amazing if nothing changes but a few cut scenes with your choices.
