You have like, 10 minutes left I'd say, give or take.

And to Jay and a little to July 4:

Jay, you seemed to miss my point, which July 4 seemed to hit a little more. Choice doesn't really matter in this game at all. They are finding very clever ways to funnel the story down the same path, regardless of choice. Now, I say this ASSUMING Doug bites it just like Carly does (but it is SO set up for him to). I've read a lot of the comics, and I get that ANYONE can die, but what works in a comic book doesn't really necessarily work in a game. If Doug gets shot in the same way as Carly, that initial decision is rendered meaningless. How many people chose Carly because she could fire a gun? How many chose Doug because he seemed to be a critical thinker? If, in the end, neither matters, what did your choice matter? I have played through episode 1 and 2 with both, and you get through both with VERY little difference.

I am not surprised by it, it's just a little disappointing. Because in the end they are telling the story THEY want to tell, which is fine, but they pitch that "Your decisions will change things!" But will it? I tried to save Shawn instead of Duck, Shawn died. I tried to save Larry, and Kenny killed him regardless.

Believe me, I understand how making a game works and I think they did the best thing that they could with this, and that they masked the idea of "choice" very well (particularly if they were counting on a lot of people doing one playthrough and seeing it through before doing others), but as someone that has done a couple, it just seems like choice is really unimportant. The people they want to die are going to die, and they will introduce new characters and decide what happens to them regardless of your choice (example, Omid and Christa both survive no matter who you choose).

At this point in the story, I'm having trouble thinking of a single choice I made which had a longstanding consequence that I could have avoided.

Ugh, sounds too negative. I love the series and love the story so far, and the way that a lot of it has played out. I just think the "choice" stuff might be getting a little out of control.

$5 a pop. At one point you could do all 5 for $20, but don't know if that's still the case.

I wish I would've known I only had about ten minutes left because I just would've finished it up. Is it just me or is this the shortest episode so far?

Pretty much agree. Noticing on my 2nd play through of episodes 1-3. It's cosmetic and not impacting.

I think I was confused about where you were at. You actually probably had another hour to an hour and a half so don't feel bad (there are 2 "road blocks").

It almost makes me wish I had just done a single playthrough.

Can't wait for 4 & 5 even though we probably won't see them until 2013, lol.

Yup. I played for another 45 minutes easily and got to where the tracks are blocked. The whole time I was thinking "Seth's sense of time is fucked up."

So, Handle, how honored are you that Telltale recognized your trophy whore feats with a trophy named after you in this game?

I finished this shit up earlier today. Pretty crazy all the shit that happened. I wish I could go right into episode 4 but I'm sure it won't release until December.

My wife loves watching me play this and helping me with the decisions.

As Seth pointed out before and I've been saying, the PS3 version is the one to get. Crisper visuals and better frame rate. It's apparently nearly identical to the PC version.

I defiantly still enjoy the game, but i was thinking about playing through it multiple time and even had halfway through episode 2 done on my second account with only the opposite decisions as well as my gf doing one with her decisions. Pretty much I have no reason to though, as no decision that is made lasts longer than a few cut scenes. I feel like even siding with one character or the other has no real bearing on anything. I'm betting this game will probably have like 10 alternate endings and that will be the only real difference in the games, but im not gonna replay the exact same game 10 times to get them.

All in all a good game I would recommend, just fell short of what is promised. Hell ive been telling my friends to buy this game because "your decisions matter and the games changes", when in reality its just a cleverly written linear story.
