They're bringing the PS4 version to PAX next month so most likely we'll hear the release date then.

I wonder what the odds are of Blizzard bringing the expansion to the console versions. I would guess it would have to be similar to XCOM, where a whole new retail version would be necessary. Does anyone know if Diablo 3 did well on consoles?

I think the PS4 version will have the expansion...but no definitive release date. Blizzard doesnt rush games so...

I am not sure what Blizzard's expectations were for the console versions so it hard to say how it did. It sold 15M+ on PC. I would say it maybe sold 500K on consoles? Total guess from me based on...nothing.

Diablo III: Ultimate Evil Edition (3 + Reaper of Souls) will come out for PS4 (and is being developed for XB1, but there's no deal between Blizzard and Microsoft yet). No idea if the expansion will come to PS3/360, tho.

knubb was right. the changes they made are excellent. the game is a lot more fun to play now. i picked up my level 25 player near the end of act 2. after a quick refresher i jumped in an imediatly was able to find rare loot that surpassed what i had. then found some legendary items too. being able to find better items makes a world of difference.

im not sure if they added new powers or if these are just flashing as new since its treating me like a new player with all the tutorial pop ups. i am really happy that even though i resumed a level 25 player, that they are treating you like a first time player to remind u how to play. i would have been a bit lost if not for that. it allowed me to jump back in quickly.

played for about 3 hours. funny thing is that its still downloading the updates. it reached a point where you reach an "optimal" level of install, and you can play while the rest downloads. fun 3 hours of play.

New flashing skills are runes to modify the skill

finished the game tonight. it was alot better with the new loot system. it was also really easy compared to before the new loot system. i guess when you have all rare and legendary items it will make it easy. i could have changed the difficulty but stuck with what i started.

overall a pretty fun time. i just wish they gave you more variety with the spells. i had my 3 or 4 goto spells that were cool to use and powerful. but they get boring on the other spells were shitty imo.

i was thinkign of trying another class besides the wizard. maybe the barbarian or something....any suggestions knubb?

I just started the expansion and bumped up the difficulty. its been a lot more challenging so far. theres a huge difference between playing on expert or master and torment. takes a lot more thought then just spamming the same skills over and over. ive only used a Witch Doctor so far which is a fun class but im a little disapointed with the new skill since its very similar to a skill ive been using forever. Im going to with a more tank-ish class next. Probably Barbarian or Crusader.

If you're feeling up to spending 40 bucks go with the Crusader and play Act V. Otherwise you can go like a real glass cannon and go Demon Hunter like myself. Took a lot of work to survive but you put out a lot of damage. Barb is alright but it kind of bored me.

I finished act 5 on my wizard and I am leveling a new crusader in hardcore mode, got it up to 33 so far. setting the game to hard or expert really doesnt make it that much more challenging it just gives the monster more hp. well, i stack so much passive regen and have so many healing options that i dont die myself, so i dont mind tossing the hammer a few more times. at the same time though, its still diablo : really repetetive. its something im gonna have to learn to take in doses, but the game is so much better since release that I actually feel pretty good about my 40 bucks even if I don't get too gonzo over it.
