[ALL] What do you want to see in the next console generation?

I wouldn't say this generation is at its end cause it could be 2 years before the release of the next big console. Anyway, what do you want to see in your next console?

For me its the ability to download games the same day they come out.
Virtually no change to the Xbox 360 or PS3 controllers. (Don't fix whats not broken)
Please not another 10 dollar spike in cost of games.
If the Kinect is integrated into the next Xbox please make it less gimmicky and just something that makes my gaming experience more immersive but can be done without (think ME3)

    I'm sure i'll have more.

Oh yeah a party system on the PS3 similar to XBL.

Both of you guys pretty much nailed the big points on my wish list. I want digital same-day as release downloads, a blu-ray player, minimal control changes and better build quality. I can understand that bleeding edge electronics can cause issues with component quality but this past generation was abysmal compared to the previous one....especially on the MS side. I STILL USE my launch day Xbox and am on my 4th 360

As far as game costs increasing...I would like to see game costs go down, especially with digital delivery lowering production costs but I doubt we will see that happen. Game costs are used to offset the increased cost of developing for the new platform and also to help offset the console costs for first party titles.

A physical disc drive and NOTHING that resembles DRM like full time internet connectivity, product codes, etc.

Specs that arent lackluster or some cheapest we can get away with.(360)
SDKs that dont ass rape devs into waiting years before AAA titles look like AAA titles.(PS3)

Sony to start from scratch on there 400 year old controller design.

BTW between the DRM,Net,Overheated consoles , etc....instead of a wish list...its a please dont fuck this up list.
Goes to show you how little faith people have in these shitty decision makers.

Blasphemy. Sony needs to stay with their controller design and now go with that oversized boomerang shit Microsoft has.

What would I like to see?

Keep backwards compatibility for PS3 games.

Reasonable launch prices as well as a sufficient amount of units that will meet the demand.

A variety of great launch titles.

Keyboard and Mouse support with 3rd party devices would be nice.

                    Right...

and I would like the ability to browse the internet on my tv without having to hook up my laptop or tablet all the time to it. It just makes sense with them adding things like internet browsers and such that a simply keyboard and mouse to navigate would be next in line to come out.

No more online access passes. Getting a game used is not worth it when you have to spend $5-10 on an online access pass.

This definitely won't happen. More and more games are starting to use this to prevent losses from the used game market.

Ok, gotcha. I thought you could hook up a wireless keyboard and mouse to the PS3?
