Guacamelee for PS3 and PS Vita

I skipped the tree tops...I just couldnt figure out where to go at one point.

I am almost at the last boss...probably like 5 mins away. I am stuck in the chamber with these fuckers that shoot beams of light from ceiling to floor...3 of them. I can only imagine the last boss is a going to be a bitch!

Just beat it...not sure whats up with the ending. The last boss was not that tough..took a few tries. I think they want me to play through again or some shit. Not anytime soon.

I really like the game though...reminded me Castelvania and Ninja Gaiden. I actually liked the difficulty...nice to play a game that isnt a cake walk.

I just hit the desert. I decided to try to cross-save to the Vita and it worked perfectly. I got 100% in the Rain Temple. I love that feeling of accomplishment you get when you figure out the series of moves required to access an area. Very rewarding.

I just did some research...you dont need to play through again. I think you need to get all the secret masks to get the best ending and some other shit.....but good fucking luck doing that.

Oh yeah it was really nice to use my VEETA!

I had a glitch in the desert where I couldn't enter the room where they introduce shielded enemies, and I backtracked throughout the entire game up to that point trying to figure out what the hell I was missing. Aside from that waste of 10-15 minutes, this game is really fun. I just returned to Pueblucho.

Ok, so so how do I beat the chick that has been taunting you for the first few hours? Calaca's gf I believe? I get her down to about 25% health and she starts splitting herself. I try using the frog stomp and the uppercut to damage both forms but it doesn't seem to have any effect.

Also, I'm a dummy. I didn't realize there were so many additional moves you can buy/unlock. I just thought you had the health and stamina ones. I didn't realize until this morning that the menu scrolled down. LOL.

And on a related note, I had no idea that that Hell Yeah! game is a Metroidvania style game as well. Had I known that I would've bought it at release when it was in sale. This game also reminds me I need to get back to Outland.

I did a lot of juggle combos during that fight, and I didn't have much of a problem. When she split, I just focused on one of them and tried to keep it away from the other.

Ok, I thought maybe I had to turn into the chicken or something. I hadn't tried that yet. I've hit both forms several times during that part of the fight and it didn't seem like I was taking away any of her health.

I beat her this morning. It was weird because the way her life bar works is dumb as fuck. You hit her and hit her but the life bar doesn't budge and then all of a sudden a big chunk goes away.

Now I'm working my way up the tree. There are some serioes jump combos required at the top of that thing. After about ten tris I decided to take a breal and I'm hoping to pick it back up tonight. I know I can do it though.

I beat Flame Face, and I've been focusing on finishing the side quests and 100%'ing as many areas as possible before moving on to with the main quest. The Caverna del Pollo was tough.

Has anyone used their Vita with the PS3 version yet? I forgot that it has that feature.

Also, how do you use the special moves that you purchase, like the pile driver? All of them say that they need to be used when grappling. How do you grapple? I would think it would mean any time the triangle icon popped up but that automatically just brings up that directional arrow to throw the enemy.

When you press triangle, you'll get about a second to do one of those special moves. I think you'll throw them automatically if you keep triangle held down though.

I'm sitting at 88% on Tule Tree. When the heck will I get the power to get through the blue blocks? The last statue I busted up I got squat! "No Power!" LOL.

Headed to the Temple of Power now.

That last 12% of Tule Tree is getting through Tree Tops. Good Luck.
