[ALL] Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell: Blacklist

    Splinter Cell: Blacklist screens leak

Screenshots of Splinter Cell: Blacklist have leaked online ahead of its expected announcement at Ubisoft's E3 conference tonight.

The shots, originally posted by Gamekyo, show Sam Fisher shooting his way through a Middle-Eastern basecamp called 'Mirawa'.

Sam also appears to be donning a brand new stealth suit.

Splinter Cell: Blacklist, previously known as Splinter Cell 6, is expected to be in development at Ubisoft Toronto. Ubisoft has yet to confirm the game's official title.

You can take a look at all seven leaked screenshots elsewhere on the site, and be sure to come back at 11pm BST tonight for a first look at the game.

Are we finally going to get a Splinter Cell game that goes back to what made the first few good? Hope so. While the last game was fun, I loved the old ones from last generation so much more.

I wish they would get rid of Sam Fisher and start over, personally. I liked Conviction a lot, and it probably had the best story of the whole bunch, but Sam is such a tired (literally) character.

This property, more than pretty much any of the Tom Clancy properties, has so much unrealized potential I think. Still, it's a Tom Clancy game, so it will be a Tom Clancy game. Nukes! Terrorists! Carte blanche killing! Gravely voices!

Conviction is one of the best 360 exclusives. I'll be interested in hearing what direction this game is going in.

Michael Ironside won't be voicing Sam. Eric Johnson replaces him.

I need to see some trailers so I can hear the voice. I loved Ironside but to be honest it seemed like he was drunk and "mailing it in" the past few games. It was probably a good idea to go with someone else. I know when they switched voice actors for inFamous 2 I was pissed but that ended up working out fine.

So where is this best place to find all these vids from E3? Gametrailers I presume?

Probably. You didn't miss much though, honestly. I look forward to some rants once you do watch everything (particularly the smart glass shit...there was a quote in there that immediately made me think of you and laugh).

I just watched the video. Unless this is some sort of prequel story I really don't like the voice. It sounds way too young.

It looked exactly like Conviction to em, which is fine I guess because I really enjoyed that game. But it was a pretty big departure from the previous games. The thing hat got me with Conviction, and it appears the same with this game, is that watching a developer play, and him knowing exactly what the coolest shit to do in every given circumstance is all well and good. But when I get the game in my hands I can never figure out that if I take out guy A with melee, and shoot the flying dodo in the northeast, then I can mark the five guys in the sunset, take them out, clamber over a moving police car and then stab the target in the neck. I usually just try to survey the environment and end up taking out one guy at a time. It;s effective but never as cool as the shit they show at these shows.

They also better be bringing co-op back or they can suck my balls.

Blacklist brings renewed focus on stealth gameplay, but also maintains the high-octane action gameplay seen in Conviction. Choice is paramount.

The demo we witnessed of Blacklist showed Sam as he infiltrates a terrorist camp while disguised as one of his enemies.

Taking a page from the success of the Assassin's Creed games, Splinter Cell Blacklist will include increased traversal options for Sam as he moves to new areas. In this sequence, Sam's movement up and across the cliff feels more fluid and speedy than in previous installments of the franchise.

Sam's movements in the new game now exhibit an increased sense of realism thanks to extensive motion capture work.

Combat feels tight and dangerous in Blacklist. In addition to his own skills, Sam Fisher can call on aid from the other members of Fourth Echelon, who can do things like send in an airstrike, or knock out all the lights in a building.
