Absolutely. Once the game comes out in Sept. I'll start putting together a schedule for season 2 with some different tracks. Want to get into the game first though so I can drive a couple of them that I'm not too familiar with.

Also, for everyone looking in the thread, the F1 league signups will open on Sept. 1, so be looking for that.

We've got 5 definites, and then Knubb has expressed a little interest as well as a guy I know from another site. We just need to work on talking U8, Pepper, Esco and Goat into this.

I 'think' you can fill the field with AI drivers, correct me if I'm wrong Swarley

I have no idea, I haven't messed around much with the online stuff in '11. I'll pop it in tonight and see. The AI drivers in F1 are worlds better than they are in Forza, so that wouldn't be a bad idea.

                Yes, I am correct

The multiplayer games only support up to sixteen players and fill out the remainder of the field with AI drivers because a single player hosts the races

I wonder if the weather system will be included online.

I think it was last season in F1 there was a race where it really was raining on only part of the track and everyone was freaking out on whether or not to change tires. They all did, then it stopped raining and the track dried out almost immediately so they all had to pit again.

I'm pretty sure in 2011 you can choose what kind of weather to race in when you set up a custom room, so I assume that we'll have the option to choose 'dynamic weather' for our league races this year....which will be so awesome.

The only issue with that I see is that in real life you have engineers in the pit box watching the radar constantly so they can make decisions based on that. When you are racing by yourself you don't have a team of engineers going over data for you to make decisions like that. Not sure how they'll handle that aspect. You can't run rain tires on dry pavement, the compound is so soft they feel like sponges and won't make it around the track for more than a lap or two.

I used to work for an IndyCar team and they had a mobile weather station right in the pits that did everything but radar. Still though they had 1 monitor dedicated to local radar and they could see it at all times.

The game is pretty good about suggesting what tires you should run and you get a weather report before the race. You can also tell when the weather is deteriorating just by the cloud coverage.

Here is a video of a race with rain (online), in case you have never seen the weather in F1

Since it's dynamic this year, I'm almost certain your spotters on the radio will tell you when the weather changes.

I'm pretty sure it was dynamic last year. I know I have seen videos where it had started to rain, but maybe it was already raining in the online races.
I watch Bortz and some of his races are online, some are career so I could have those two confused.

That may be, but like they've changed it this year to where it could be different on certain parts of the track. And I assume that the AI spotters will let you know when it starts raining and what sectors of the track are wet/dry.
