DayZ is a mod for the PC game ArmA II: Combined Operations. The mod is free. The game is about $30.

Its a zombie survival game. Its still an alpha build. The only goal is to survive. The average life expectancy is 30 minutes. Death is permanent.

I just heard about this a week ago and honestly haven't had a chance yet to give a shot. But some gamers on another forum I frequent are in love with it and it gets getting some solid hype from some quaters. Figured I'd see if anyone here has given it a try yet...

I think they're about on par with Battlefield: Bad Company 2 if that gives you an indication.

It'll be pretty close for me as far as being able to run it smoothly on low setting lol, I'll have to try out the demo.
