Well the question is if they are the same game they why do I want it on my Vita then? Can I take my save from ps3 and play on VeETa?

I'm definitely getting both versions now.
That isn't what that interview said. It said that the race tokens (or whatever they are) that you earn will carry over between both platforms, not game saves.
