[PS3] Gaming Headset

I want to get a gaming headset. One that the receives all the sound from the tv so there is no audible noise, besides me swearing, in the room.

I'm looking to spend in the 150-250 range.

Any good suggestions?

I got the Turtle Beach x12 for 40 bucks and they work like a baws. I love em. Don't know what the PS3 alternative to that would be. Turtle Beach makes stuff for the PS3 too right?

I'd go with Tritton's. I've never had a problem with them and can use them for PC, PS3 or 360.

I have the Turtle Beach XP500s, and they are fantastic. They are a $270, but there's also the Turtle Beach PX5, which is basically the same headset for $250 (only difference is on the Xbox side of it).

I had the XP500's but since they operate on 2.4 GHZ I was having interference issues from my router so I returned them and bought the Astro A40 with mixamp. Best set I have ever had and it works for Xbox,PS3, and PC. I think I paid $299 for these with a rechargable battery and the best thing about these are they operate on 5 GHZ frequency which all but eliminates any popping noises caused by interference

I got them maybe a year ago, and they sound great. Sliders on the side to adjust Game/Voice Volume, and it works nicely with a laptop for music. Only problem I've noticed is it cancels out my wireless mouse at times. Its made of plastic so you'll have to be careful around it. I'm rather surprised I haven't broken mine yet.

but when my wife streams netflix to xbox #2 I get interference....other than that they have been great. Get rechargeable batteries though as they can eat batteries.

I have Tritton 720s and they are fantastic. I'm seeing them for $130 on amazon.
