As I posted in the other thread a few weeks ago, I don't like the fact that you have to pay to have basic online abilities and access to subscription services like Netflix if you have an Xbox.

I think it's safe to say that the PS3 is the superior console with regards to being an all-in-one entertainment center experience. All other points mentioned are debatable.

As far as lag goes, I did temporarily switch to 360 when PSN went down last year but went back to ps3 only. I can say that the only game I've ever had any lag experience in has been MAG and then playing people with horrible internet connections on MLB The Show. I found the 360 quite annoying playing games like Battlefield and Call of Duty on XBL over PSN because it seems like there are a ton more kids whining and playing music and just overall acting like idiots. While its present in both systems and will never go away, it seemed much more prevalent on 360 than PSN.
Party chat solves this problem, as will the community people have developed in various gaming genres since the Xbox (so you actually have a party to chat with- sometimes I'll just hangout in a party by myself so I don't have to mute everyone in the rooms.) Honestly, the reason people don't do chat and whine and play music on the PS3 is because very few people have a headset. Pretty much an entire room in COD will have a headset in most gaming timeframes, whereas its sporadic to see on PS3 and sometimes I would be the only person for a two hour stretch.

As far as pricing goes, $50 a year isn't bad but coupled with the start up costs of getting 360 to where PS3 was to start, was just ridiculous and felt like I shouldn't have to. I had to pay to access the internet I already pay for, for something PS3 gives you for free. With PS3's paid service you get a lot of freebies but isn't required to use your internet connection. Then to pay to upgrade the controllers and what wasn't the case for a long time with the 360 was wireless access(while I always wire connect the option should have been there for people who don't have the means to wire connect.) I felt like for what was there the PS3 has always been the better value.
The controler is better ergonomically not sturdy wise. Im 6'5 and a ps3 controller is a baby in my hands. 2 i never said you had trouble finding games but rather that more people have xboxs meaning hypothetically better competition. And im not the one complaining about the ps3 online service being hard to work with the develpers are. Like i said if the ps3 is so high and mighty debate these points from a ps3 fanboy http://www.ign.com/articles/2012/06/...erful-problems. It seems like your only valid argument is that xbox requires a 50 service and gives you a lot less than ps plus which is correct. However the 50 we pay for online service is so much better than the crappy ps3 free servce

To solve the Party Chat issue here is what you do, buy a 360 and buy a PS3 have all your friends join a Party on Xbox Live plug in your mics and put on your headsets THEN everyone turn on their PS3 and play whatever games you want while shit talking your friends. Oh and if you don't own both then you will get made fun of "haha look at Steve he can only afford a Wii what a faggot!"

The controller argument is completely subjective. If you have large hands, you'll probably like the feel of the 360 controller better because it's larger. However, I like the loose movement of the sticks and the d-pad functionality for the PS3 controller. There's no real merit in arguing which controller is better IMO.

I don't see lower player counts as equaling a lesser player base. I've seen plenty of great competition in the online games that I've played on PS3.

I do agree that the PS3 architecture is harder to develop on, and Sony has missed some opportunities because of it. There have also been instances where devs simply haven't put much effort into optimizing their games for PS3 (the Fallout games immediately come to mind).

As for the article, it seems like the guy is arguing more about PSP/Vita issues than PS3 issues.

The thing I hate about the PS3 joystick is the joysticks are convex and not concave like the 360. Not sure why you would have a slick rubbery joystick that's convex on a controller in this day in age, but some people like it I guess. I have those triggers on my PS3 controller which help out as well.

There is nothing slick about the ps3 sticks. Unless you are eating some greasy shit while playing there is no reason you should have a problem maintaining your grip.

If you like Nintendo's games, then awesome. They've got some good shit. But motion gaming is booty.

Doesn't matter if they are slick or not, having them curve out is fucking retarded.
