It sounds like there's potentially a game crippling bug because EA wants them to review the game with the day 1 patch according to Jeff Gerstmann.
This is about review copies, not an embargo.http://www.gametrailers.com/full-epi...gital-delightsSkip to 2:18."Just want to talk a little about our Mo
The last MoH had a lot of bugs in the single player that really took away from the experience. I feel a bit justified by choosing a wait-and-see approach to this one.Comment

According to Playstation Blog's latest drop, it should be on the PS Store as well.

The game is a sequel to the 2010 release, Medal of Honor, which moved the long-running game series from its roots in WWII based gameplay, into modern warfare scenarios and true-to-life conflicts. The single-player campaign features mission play involving returning characters “Mother,” “Preacher,” “Voodoo” and others in operations after their service in Afghanistan. Multiplayer modes include 2-20 player support in which players have the ability to play as one of 13 real special ops units, from 10 countries.Comment

The major sites just got their copies yesterday from what I read and EA also made them promise to download the launch day patch today before they began writing their reviews. We may or may not get a copy of the game. The PR guy was being kind of obtuse in our exchanges and now I believe it is more a lack of confidence in the game than just not wanting to interact with us.Comment

i get not wanting people to trash the game. but if in fact the game does fail miserably, they will get pounded even worse because they attempted to hide the flaws by not allowing reviews.
people are skeptical when there is no demo, so idk what EA thinks they are going to get away with. So they sell their week 1 sales and piss off there fanbase. get bashed by ever media site out there, hurt their future credibility with this and other games.
if the game has problems and its simply not ready, then wait. they knew if it was messed up before producing all those discs. So hold off a month and come out looking like a winner by telling everyone what the issues are and why the delay. people will understand and the media will respect that choice and give them love for being a good guy for a change.Comment

Their demo was the beta, and they missed out by making it 360 exclusive. They definitely could have used that to try to convince people like me on the other platforms who got MoH and wanted to see some of the improvements in the game.
EDIT: GiantBomb stream.

Also keep in mind that they did this with Battlefield 3 and that game is fantastic.Comment

Avoid until they fix the issue with the headsets online.
The menus are hard enough as it is to navigate...
-Unless you've played BF3 or are getting a brand-new copy, you're at the bottom of the barrel in terms of unlocks.
*Not all of the classes are unlocked to start with, which is fine due to the extreme specializations you can get into; but it's not good when you initally
want to play as a U.S. Navy Seal and come to realize that you gotta dump hours of time into the MP JUST to unlock the ability TO unlock him.
Depending on your definition of "replayability", your overall patience or general malaise towards FPS' in general, you may not have the stomach to sit there and take your lumps to get what you want.
*Also, your guns for the afformentioned are sans parts that you'll actually want so I hope you saved up some vacation time.
-NOBODY has headsets online (just like MAG and BF3, where you really aren't going to find griefers versus COD where your mother's a whore by default) so on top of the team audio being either unhearable/busted, nobody's gonna know the psycho murderer with the AK behind the door is waiting for them.
So yeah...
Fun on MP so far if you can stomach all of this awful.Comment

The most annoying thing to me had to be the menus. They are very confusing at first. Then I was not too happy about not being able to go to a different character in a different group (like switching from a Navy character to an Army character). I wish I would have known that from the get go, but whatevs, I can live with my meh choice. It does suck that the communication seems to be broken. But overall once you get into a grove it's pretty fun.Comment
