My impression is this game is meh. Its a CoD clone but tries to pretend it's not.The king was shaken. He went up to the room over the gateway and wept.
As he went, he said: "O my son Absalom! My son, my son Absalom!
If only I had died instead of you
O Absalom, my son, my son!"Comment

assuming i didnt read is dumb. i read those 4 comments already. they offer very little insight other than comparisons to other games. maybe if you didnt focus on pointless interviews nobody cares about you could spend more time giving comments on how you like to spam invite people...thats quality content right thereComment

What do you want to hear Maynard? I'm not doing a full review, but I can give quick impressions.

my initial thoughts are that the game looks stunning. i am always surprised when i am able to see a game set the bar higher than something else i thought looked stunning, and this one does it. im on ultra settings and even though im only getting 40 fps, i dont have any stutters or graphical glitches at all. the detail in the opening scenes where the rain is falling and water streams across the ground are just mindblowing.
sadly, that was the only thing about this game that impressed me. the game is so un-original its disgusting. this might as well be a sequel of COD and BF. why is everyone still tryng to make the next COD4? the opening action sequence followed by the opening flash of credits, followed by the boot camp tutorial...they even steal the timed training course. i ran into some dumb glitches where every obstacle told me to lean left.
Once you get past that you are now playing your cookie cutter FPS with your 4 man squad of un-interesting pointless dialog driven team following linear paths full of your typical big explosions and loud booms. The controls are mapped in typical COD/BF fashion and work as well as should be expected. I didnt play much because i was disgusted by this copy cat of a game that so many people spent $60 on.
If you like COD or BF and want to play a game that is completely identical to those games, then spend your $60....I however suggest saving your $60 and playing BF3 instead.Comment

Just a nit, training courses were introduced to FPS games before CoD4. I know Counter-Strike had it way back when. It's a good tool to get players used to your controls and features.Comment

sure, i know...but its just an example of how this game copied those games. its not necessarily a bad thing since those games are great to alot of people. at least you know what you are getting if you want to look at it that way.
im just annoyed because its another in a long line of games that are killing the industryComment

MP's still butts but if you got people to work with you (thanks Brink, Swarls and Twigg), you can suffer through it.
There's no real way to tell if you're on a Hardcore match (no HUD, no Ammo or Health count AND the Killcam's off so no peeking to see who did you in) or Normal until you're in the game; no complaints for that per say because you can cherry pick which server you want to play on.
Just gotta wade through the menus for that.
Also, Hardcore seems to equal either A) Bullet Sponge Mode or B) Latency issues as it takes a full clip to down an enemy but only 2-3 max to kill you.
And... on one particular desert-themed map, the fucking spawns are bugged if you're Attacking because when you spawn, it's so far away from the actual match, you just die instantly or in a few seconds.
This happened to Twigg, Brink, Swarley and myself for half a match before the game decided to let us back into the game.
I'm still saying... "rent" if you can if you absolutely NEED to beat the campaign but wait until a better shooter comes through.Comment
