One of the more accurate reviews I've seen.
That ios a great review and I agree with it it, although it's only for the multiplayer.

Honestly, based on what I've played, this game is at least a 7/10. These ultra low scores are just laughable. Is a 7/10 with multiplayer that your friends may or may not enjoy, worth $60 to you? That's entirely up to you.

What is that based off of, more internet speculation? I honestly have no idea how long the campaign is but I've already been playing it over three hours on Normal, and based on the campaign trophies for the game I have quite a ways to go.

Campaign shouldn't take more than 6-8 hours. It's really short.
The king was shaken. He went up to the room over the gateway and wept.
As he went, he said: "O my son Absalom! My son, my son Absalom!
If only I had died instead of you
O Absalom, my son, my son!"

That's not terrible IMO and what I was expecting. Four hours is way too short though. I think MW2 was only like 3 or 4 hours and that was a joke.

Eh, I think it was a bit longer than that. I picked up Homefront from a clearance bin for $10, and that was a legit four hours.

I remember finishing both MW2 and BF3 in about 4 hours or so. Glad this is longer.

My bad, I'm sure you understood what I meant. With that being said I haven't said the game was better than than either of the games you listed. I was just criticizing some of the harsh comments that this game was getting, a lot of nitpicking in my opinion while some of these exact same problems occur in other FPS' including Call of Duty/Battlefield 3.

the game has gotten just as many/if not more positive/semi positive reviews than negative reviews in this forum. The ones disliking it are being a lot more vocal for some reason. If you don't like the game, not sure why you need to continue to come in here and try and belittle the ones that do enjoy it.

No it wasn't. I can go back to my play time if you want. It took me almost exactly four hours, and that was with looking around for collectibles. My buddy didn't bother with collectibles and beat it in a few minutes over three hours. Fact.

Homefront was very short as well.

That's pretty fucking awful. Halo took me longer than that and Halo is about as vanilla a FPS as you can get.

Actually, I'd say this and Homefront were about equal in length.

The bottom line is that, based on what I've played thus far, this game is as good if not slightly better than the last MoH game. Yet somehow that game has a 74 (Xbox) and 75 (PS3) on Metacritic and somehow this game is in the 50s. It just doesn't make any sense.
Don't be a dork. I don't hate LP because they're mainstream, but because it seems like the only way they get attention now is by attaching their new singles to products (all the Transformers movies and now this). They just sound boring.

I've got Katy Perry's first CD in my truck, so your point falls flat.

As for the reviews, I can understand the lower scores. I've watched full playthroughs of both current-gen MoH games now and, as far as I can tell, there is so little innovation in this new one. Sure, they have driving sequences (tech clearly pulled out of NFS: Shift) which are neat (especially the second one with the hiding mechanic), but there's very little meat to the campaign. It's setpiece followed by setpiece with a shitload of tedium in-between. Yes, that's no different than CoD, but to beat it, you have to rise above it somehow.

I'm thoroughly enjoying the campaign still. I just finished the foot chase level and then searching the caves. Now I think I'm at that second driving mission that Brnt is referring to.

All I know is that so far this game seems just as good as any CoD or Battlefield game but is somehow getting shit on left and right. I can all but guarantee that BlOps 2 will get no less than an 8 by every outlet out there and it's sticking to the same formula that it's been sticking with for years.

Because it's a formula that works and people will buy it and eat it up. I'm not a COD fan that much by any means, but nothing pulls together my friends list better than the first month that COD comes out.

But the difference, and remember how much I despise CoD, is that at least they're stretching with the plot and setting for BLOPS 2. I watched a playthrough of BLOPS and was quite impressed with the story and how well it meshed with the gameplay. I saw the twist fairly early on, but it was well-executed.

My argument is all about execution. To me, MoH: Warfighter is looking in the right direction, but I have a hard time dealing with a plot humanizing soldiers and their families in the cutscenes while proceeding to make them super-soldiers in the gameplay again.

Gotta play that shit on Impossible Ironman, then.

You get no retries, and if your guys get fragged, they're perma-dead.

                            Wait...

                            That was X-Com.

I might be swayed to play a few levels of SP on Expert but I promise nothing.

While I appreciate "realism" to an extent, if I don't get my Med-Kits or at least some form of health regen (where my pill bottles at, Max?!), I get cranky and switch over to BL2.

Also, playing Team America: Warfighter: The Movie: The Game on SP is still rad.

That rabbit chase after the EASIEST TROPHY IN THE WORLD NEXT TO PRESSING START ON THE SIMPSONS was a little aggravating but when you run through live rounds on what equivalates to a Paintball Field, you learn to duck more than once.
