Is Rockstar hinting at a Red Dead 3 announcement??

Responding to questions about the future of the series, Rockstar said, "we love Red Dead too – and are thrilled that so many of you loved John Marston’s tale and are excited for more epic Western action. As we mentioned in our last set of Asked & Answereds to similar questions about the future of other game franchises like Bully and L.A. Noire, we don’t always rush to make sequels but that does not mean that we won’t get to them eventually. Stay tuned for further announcements about the future of the Red Dead series."
Does this mean a Red Dead Redemption sequel is already in the works? We hope so.
I don't understand the "we don't always rush to make sequels" line. I mean, Rockstar doesn't really rush anything, but are they really trying to act like they aren't big on sequels? Since 2006 the majority of their major titles (aka, non DLC) have been sequels.

If anything I'd say it's almost even. Like you said they don't rush anything and usually their one or two releases a year are always awesome, but they've came out with some good ones in that time frame like RDR & L.A. Noire.
Season I: 10-6 (NFC North Champions)
Season II: 9-7 (NFC North Champions)
Season III: 13-3 (NFC Champions)
Season IV: 11-5 (NFC North Champions)
Season V: 2-1

RDR is a sequel. Their only new IPs in the last 5 or 6 years are LA Noire (which they only published) and Bully.
red dead revolver. the bastard son, the red headed stepchild, the black sheep of the family.....the game nobody ever heard of and nobody played and seemingly has nothing to do with RDR. Its the game that makes people feel smart by saying...hey, RDR is a sequel....and everyone responds with an overwhelming oh yeah, that shit game nobody played

GTA 4 had nothign to do with GTA 3. Also, Final Fantasy.
Regardless of what game it is, count me as someone who can't wait. RDR was a great gaming experience and I loved the Undead Nightmare expansion, as I almost got as much time out of that as I did the real game. Count that as one of the few games where that's actually happened.
