Shadow Complex - I can't get enough of these types of games.
Castle Crashers - Basic, but fun and engaging multiplayer experience.
Trials - Although controller smashingly difficult, I can't seem to go too long without taking a spin through the tracks (the easy ones).

I'm sure there are more that I'm forgetting, but these 3 were just off the top of my head.

At this point both services have tons of original and creative games.

As far as my list, for just XBLA apparently...

      Pacman CE
      NBA Jam On Fire
      Alien Breed series
      Trials Evolution
      Shadow Complex
Shocker...Twiggy has something to bitch about and is making this XBLA vs. PSN. Regardless of when XBLA came to form, it has a significantly better library now and is the place to go for quality downloadable games on console.

Shocker you steered this thread to XBLA only. "Significantly better"?!? Have you list your mind?

So I've been thinking this one over, and I think I've come up with my list. I'll admit it, I'm a little surprised the top one on my list hasn't been mentioned more. That said, this is in no particular order, just a list of my favorite games, and the ones I always come back to.

          The Walking Dead
Splosion Man (I have Ms. Splosion Man, haven't played it yet)
Trials Evolution (As much as I love this game, the previous one drove me nuts and I was done with it once I got to a point in it where I couldn't advance. This one allows me to get new maps to try without having to worry about how difficult they are)
NBA Jam: On Fire Edition (A classic that was redone in spectacular fashion, and wasn't a full-priced retail release like its predecessor)
Castle Crashers (Not in a lot of years have I "stumbled" onto such a spectacular beat-em-up that was completely new)

          Honorable Mention
Shadow Complex (I enjoyed the hell out of this, but managed to get stuck such that no matter what strategy guides and otherwise I looked at, I couldn't get unstuck. I really need to revisit this and finally finish it)
Braid (This is another one I'm surprised nobody mentioned. It's such a basic platformer until you incorporate the rewind function. My god the complexity of this game when you really learn how to properly use that feature)
Scott Pilgrim vs the World (I absolutely loved this game. Honestly, this was the last one cut from my Top 5. It's such a great game that is actually enhanced by its homage to the 8-bit classics of old. The soundtrack is absolutely stellar...so much so, I went out and downloaded it on iTunes)
Carcassonne (This has to be one of the single best board game transition on the Xbox right now. You really don't feel like you're playing a board game, and it plays far quicker...saves a whole lot of math and missed counts of points)
TMNT: Turtles in Time (One of the better modernizations to date, and this one was rebuilt from the ground up. Almost just as fun as I remember the original being, even if it was a bit shorter)

Will get some mention when I finally play them
Minecraft (Still not sure I'm buying this as I don't know enough other people who play it)
Heavy Weapon (Have wanted to play this for years)
Penny Arcade Games (I'll try these eventually)
