I'm guessing Premium will no longer be a season pass based on the pre-order details at the Battlefield site (mostly the fact that it comes with any pre-order).



I do wonder what it will include and whether it's just the online pass.

Also, I'm guessing the 17 minute trailer confirms that there will be three factions for multiplayer (US, China, and Russia).

The way I'm starting to read that is by preordering you get a piece of the Premium and that they'll have a premium pass like BF3 does. Kind of like how we got Back to Karkand for preordering BF3.

I'm sure it will.

As for this video, I wasn't overly impressed. It looks pretty, sure, but the AI seems identical to this gen. The enemies all seem to move and react the same. I thought the biggest leap the next gen will have is advancement in AI? This video sure doesn't show it. Plus, why the dogs DICE? Why?!?

I agree with Twigg. It seems as if these games take away more control every time too. All of the crazy super blockbuster action stuff...you're just watching the screen. Yeah it looks cool, but lets put more control in my hands pls.

Bingo. Battlefield 3 was one of the shortest and just flat out worst campaigns I've ever played. While single player gameplay makes for better trailers and big videos like this, it's definitely not what I'm buying this game for.

Also something to note, while they say it's running on Frostbite 3, it's certainly not a completely brand new engine. It borrows very heavily from Frostbite 2 and definitely isn't the same step up as we saw from Frostbite 1 to 2.

It would have to be a damn good excuse to not have 64 player games on next gen. On paper it seems like everything should be there from a hardware perspective. Sony has certainly shown a willingness to allow developers to create large online matches with MAG and Dust 514.
