Saw some gameplay footage floating around on YouTube.

The intro's basically there to remind/show you how much of a goofball Deadpool is.

From there, it's all Light and Heavy attacks to build up your meter so you can trigger ultimate attacks... of which you can unlock as you gather collectables.

    Also, guns.

Looks worth a rent at least.

Well, it's $49.99 MSRP for consoles so wouldn't it be $39.99 on PC most likely?

It's getting decent reviews. Basically what I expected. Sitting at a 66 at this point.

Deadpool speaks: "There are a few important things I need to say before you crack into my insanely sweet game. (Oof. Here we go again.) I'm a mercenary with an accelerated healing factor. I've been described as unstable, which is just plain coo-coo. (Wait, do sane people say coo-coo?) I'm gonna battle for the safety of humans and mutants. (And even mumans.) Be prepared for just about anything. (Holla!) • I made sure to capture all my good sides, so I made my game a third-person action-shooter. (Yep, you get to look at my heinie.) • Keep a look out cuz some of my X-Men pals (Whoa, what pals?!) are making an appearance. (Hope you don't mind picking hair out of your tacos.) • I'm really good at killing, so I made it a blast stringing together combos, and totally eviscerating my enemies. (Ev-is-cer-a-ting!) • I brought my skills and a buttload of my favorite things. Katanas (check), guns (bang!) explosives (boom), duct tape (quack) and of course, yours truly - ME! (Checkmate!)"

              Caved and bought this.

Dumbest humor around but just running around in Deadpool's Apartment to see what he says is greatness.

Nolan North does it again (at least for the character).

Not that it's an oddity in a game based upon a schizophrenic sociopath that wears red pajamas to work but...

The combo system feels like a dummied-version of the GOW system.

Given the stuff you can buy from the in-game store (sais, hammers, SMGs, etc.), you can set up some interesting combos that branch off from the starter katana/pistol stuff.

I had a good 70+ chain going swapping between swords, sais and pistols for a while and it made me appreciate the combat system a little more.

You could mash buttons just the same but the only complaint I have (and many reviewers as well) is that the Counter Button is also tied to the Teleport Button.

Meaning that you think you would be doing a stellar counter and you get sent out 20 feet out in BFE for the 2nd time in a fight...

...still a good, but not great, fighting system.
