Ok, I had no interest in this game because initially I thought it was a $60 retail game. Then I saw on CAG that PSN is offering a discount for PS+ if you "Pre-order" this week (the game releases July 31st). You'll get the game for $11.99 instead of $15 and a free theme. I don't believe Xbox is offering any offers (shocker I know).
I thought the first movie was pretty weak and cut some serious corners in the special effects department so I'm hoping the second movie will be more entertaining. As for the game, after seeing the CAG PSN thread I decided to check out a gameplay video (shown above) and it looks like the game is a four player co-op twin stick shooter, which I'm a sucker for. Plus it looks like it features cool up close executions.
I still don't think the game will be amazing or anything but I don't know too many twin stick shooters that weren't at least decent and definitely fun to play with others.
Just a thought.
