I, along with the wife in spectator mode, completed Silent Hill: Homecoming today. We actually had a Silent Hill weekend of sorts. We watched both SH movies on Saturday and played a good chunk of Homecoming. The first movie was decent but the newest movie, Revelation I think it's called, was horrible.

Homecoming is pretty decent, especially for a game released in 2006. If you're a fan of the RE evil you'll like it. My main gripes were the lack of inverted controls (but you had them when aiming down the sights, WTF?!?) and the controls seemed to not be very precise during combat. But overall it was enjoyable. The game has FIVE different endings so I still want to go back in the next few days and see those. I made sure to make a save at the two crucial decision points in the game so that I only have to replay minimal sections to see all the endings.
After that it's on to Downpour.
I'd like to get the SH HD collection since I missed the series back in the PS1/PS2 days but it really annoys me that it only features 2 and 3. I understand not including 1 because it is very dated but where's 4? Or Origins for that matter?

Won my first National Chamiponshhip with Gonzaga in choops and had a ridiculous line of kills in battlefield. Ran up the stairs to find 5 dudes, 2 of which I blasted right then an there. Ran out of ammo and switched to pistol and killed two more. Last guy tried to run but I knifed him. Good times.

I put the final nail in Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning. The final boss is surprisingly easy once you figure out what to do.

Got the wife to play Portal 2 with me. Counts as an achievement

Went back and got the four other endings for SH Homecoming, and every achievement except beating it on Hard. I might actually do that at some point because you get access to a sweet weapon with unlimited ammo after one of the endings. It would make Hard a breeze. But I'm burned out in that game and decided to start Downpour.

Took Down Far Cry 3 today. What a fucked up story but quite a ride. Even though I am totally bored with a first person shooters this was a really fun game. I especially enjoyed the Helicopter part at the end with the music. That shit was a trip.

I guess we should see a sequel.

Finished Silent Hill Downpour tonight. Like Homecoming it has multiple endings, five to be exact. I was able to unlock three of them. I did every side quest. Some were pretty cool but lame considering you only get 5 cheevo points upon completion. Some required you to traverse the map back and forth too. I'll take a broze trophy over 5 measly points any day. Oh well. It was still a solid game and the mechanics and graphics were much better than Homecoming. The game was pretty eerie too. I think it took around 20hrs to complete. We'll worth the $14 I paid for a new copy.

Now I can focus all my gaming energy on Tomb Raider...until GoW releases this week.

You bought Battlefield to play with your brochachos and I don't think you've played with us once. Instead you play Borderlands playthrough #93 and Hitman trophy hunt, or marathon sessions of The Show.

We all miss you.
