I don't get that impression at all, just an assist at making a play rather than manually timing swat/catch yourself.

It will play like NCAA not really hyped about Madden this year.

Could be but I was just taking what Dewiel said at face value.

@jdewiel @jpdavis1982 it's a new feature that team added to help users on D. You hold in Y/Triangle to make a play on the ball at its high point...

@jdewiel @jpdavis1982 but if you time it wrong, you're giving up a big play. Think about how guys like Ed Reed play the game. Hope that helps.

More discussion from Dewiel on what "Ball Hawk" means

@RHerron68 @JDewiel what determins who wins if both users use ball hawk on the same play?

@JDewiel @RHerron68 it's about timing. Blindly hitting this doesn't mean you'll get a pick. There's some serious risk vs. reward that takes place.

I HIGHLY doubt it plays the same.

NCAA 12 and Madden 12 played the same and that can be said about 11 and 10 for both games. I expect nothing more than maybe a slightly more polished version of NCAA 13.

Call me crazy but NCAA 12 and Madden 12 were much different in terms of gameplay too me.

I don't see how anyone could compare NCAA and Madden to each other over the past few years. The games are night and day difference. Even if you made the argument that they were the same last year, you would still have to account for Madden having an entirely new engine for this year. There is no way the games will play alike. Which isn't to say that I have not liked NCAA this year, the Golden Herbie OD has been a lot of fun but Madden will be an entirely different game.

You mean that half ass real time physics?

Why so negative? The Infinity Engine definitely isn't a total overhaul of the current engine. They just worked on improving it. It isn't full real-time physics, but an animation driven physics engine. It won't completely change how the game plays, but will make the tackles and player interactions look more like what you would see in real life.

I'be gotten burned by Madden one to many times, I'll check out the demo but I'm expecting NCAA 13 with NFL.

They were. NCAA 12 and Madden 12 were completely different games. Madden12 was much better than NCAA 12. Hell Madden 12 is better than NCAA 13.

Didn't they mention in a video that '13 had the same gameplay teams on both games? I know the Ex UF QB shows up for both Madden & NCAA videos talking about QB improvements.

I guess it's like contact vs zone hitting in The Show.

Contact being, you just push the button and let the dice roll/ratings decide if it's gonna happen. AKA Ball Hawk.

Zone being, you time it and move your bat into the spot. AKA what we do now, moving the player and timing the catch/swat.
