Madden '13 Demo now available - Post your impressions here
Ok so the Seahawks arent as good at passing lol, but it still is gonna be pretty hard to stop the passing game. I really like how offense feels all around. You honestly dont have to worry about possibly putting the ball in a defenders hands due to super lb
Just played a Vita demo. Even with the old engine in this version, the game LOOKS like a Madden game. The PSP games didn't look anywhere close to the console games. This one could be said to be a low res Madden 13 game. For $30 (@ Amazon), I can't see it not be worth picking up if you have a Vita and a Football fan. It didn't have as much crowd specific noise..just constant loud noise but no "we will rock you" in the background etc. As much as I thought I wouldn't be interested in Madden this year, I can see picking both up...just have to get used to the idea of no editing (which for a NFL game is possible of overcoming).
I have only had a limited amount of time with the game, but, I can also say that ratings seem to play a bigger role for all positions. In my NYG and SF game, I had a tougher time generating a pass-rush with JPP than Justin Tuck. With Tuck, I had one play where I actually saw a tossing animation against the OT. With JPP, I was able to speed rush more effectively, but, also slipped when trying to change directions. I really like the animations thus far and the infinity engine, while not perfect, adds much more realism to the running game (i.e. tripping over linemen in the backfield, etc.)
Maddon & Friedman: Pissing off the AL East since 2008
I like AM more than I did last year, might be good with some slider tweaks. Gripes with it are that the CPU ball carriers break 1st contact about 99.9% of the time and your targets drop wide open passes far too often.
1st Time Ive played Madden in forever, some thoughts..
- Slick opening menus
- Passing is pretty easy...Still
- So Madden doesnt call the plays anymore?
- I still have no idea how to control the defense beyond the linemen..
- Im sorry for making Sidney Rice take all those passes over the middle
- These hits look like they hurt
- CONCUSSIONS!!!!!!!!
- Still pretty fun to play..

Yeah, I found Frank Gore to be a bit god-like on AM level.

Got burnt for a 65 yard screen pass. Shows how good i am. On AP I did easily make my way down the field for a touchdown. Running definitely is more realistic. I managed like 3.5 ypc with Frank Gore on my TD drive. Went 5/6 with Alex Smith only incompletion was a pass i tried to squeeze between two defenders to Vernon. In past Maddens it would have been picked easy but I managed to lob it in over a LB but Vernon got hit by a safety and it was knocked away and bounced around for a quick second. You can definitely feel the new locomotion engine or whatever its called. It does make a huge difference.
So far I've only played one series on offense and one on defense.
