Madden connected careers: what purpose does it really serve?

whats the point ? I mean..are there a bunch of groups of people out there who would try to get 4 or more people in a career mode who are all just playing one position ? can you still call a teams plays from cornerback ? if you are a QB you would have a distinct advantage...unless the AI is decent, I see that getting boring pretty quick...?

Connected careers is the whole franchise mode you dope. There are multiple ways to play. You can coach the team or you can be a player. It is a combination of normal franchise and the be a pro modes. It gives people options. While you might not want to play that way maybe some other friends do? Not sure if this is a troll attempt...

CCM has been met with mixed opinion throughout multiple forums. For me, I personally like the idea and can't wait to sit down for a few hours with a full copy of the game. I think the groups that are most critical of this mode are the online franchise people. Personally, I don't enjoy playing people online, so this really doesn't effect me.

What I find most exciting about this mode is that there is a RPG element to the game that will allow me to "develop/build" players as I see fit with the XP that is earned. Plus, depending on the system that I choose to run, it seems that ratings will matter more as well. The depth of the mode is there as well. If I get fired, I can continue in the same CCM and sign with a new team. I can be awarded a contract extension, etc.

I think this is going to be a mode that continues to grow and evolve over the years to give us a franchise mode that we have all wanted, and expected, over the last several years.

this is an actual answer although a tad liberal and vague LOL.
the rest of you are idiots and children. I dont give a fuck about EA write ups of the mode and I dont read more than one or 2 small paragraphs about " Toys ".

Just because the internet can post a bunch of info doesnt mean its important to look at the junk.

I asked you a question..are you playing in franchise/ CC with others as one lousy position or not? and if so, why ?

As this mode evolves, I believe it will become the standard model for all sports games

Remember when EA introduced franchise mode in Madden? We all clamored for all of our sports games to have a franchise mode after that.....I see something similar happening with CCM

Of course because EA just rolled it out, it's not perfect yet and there are some areas I'd like for them to flesh out more, but the potential of CCM is deep

yeah cant answer much without playing it...but playing as one player in a franchise mode..even with other people illiminates being interactive with others to a degree
