Purdue and Wisconsin will be done by weekend to complete the Big10.
you know what would be cool is if one of those guys who created a Madden Roster editor could do something like that with NCAA 13.
We could then just take roster files from NCAA 11 or NCAA 12 and import them into NCAA 13. That would really save a lot of time in doing these Classic rosters. I would love to be able to just copy my NCAA Alumni 11 rosters into NCAA 13 and just add new teams to the file that weren't created in NCAA 11.
I guess some how a guy from OS was able to get Madden 13 rosters over to Madden 12 from what Mkharsh explained to me a few months ago.
Quick question: what gamertag are these under? Thanks!!
Xbox gamer tag is billysims2330
Just so that we are clear these are 1970's rosters by Billysims.
Thread title was originally going to be for my 1990's rosters but i got so consumed with Madden 13 rosters i simply don't have the time to work on NCAA 13 rosters this year. So, i'm simply waiting on billysims to complete his work then i'm going to grab his file and overhaul the ratings for myself because I don't like EA's ratings they hurt the actual gameplay.
I have a pretty good understanding of EA's football ratings so i will tweak most of billysims created teams to add some realism on the field.
For example things like lower jump ratings for defenders and higher awareness for impact players and qb's will stand out more on the field as opposed to what we see with EA's default rosters. I wish this game was kinda like NBA Live 11 where they included a global editor with the game.
That way i could simply do mass global edits by team or position and save time on the ratings editing. It's pretty sad year after year now we have to keep making our own edits to this series in order for the game to play better. I remember on OS i used to show those EA guys videos of actual gameplay with edits to their own rosters that fixed several issues with NCAA Football like the CPU OPTION OFFENSES and Scrambling QB's and yet they simply refuse to make changes even when you show them video proof of what certain ratings do for the game.
This series used to be my favorite sports games.....sadly over the last 2-3 years burnout over having to edit their game has stopped me from enjoying it as much as i used to.
I am editing ratings but likely not to the depth that you will PM. The EA rating are overall too high. Couple that with sliders that ate difficult to tweak to get them right and you have what we get every summer.
i think I've landed on a set of All American sliders that seem to work well with this roster set thus far. Part of the key is editing coaching aggressiveness to lessen the DBs going into hyper aggressive mode. I still can't figure out why they never fix that...
Ole Miss is done. I will post again when the SEC is done which will be this week. Then I will move to finish the Pac10.
Looks like I am at the half way poiint, with about 35 or so teams left to do. In the coming weeks Im going to try to step it up to do a team per day on average. It takes about 2 hours to do a team with player name/body/equipment/ratings edits. However, I am away again all next week so that will be another delay. Hopefully mid January I'm done.
It might be a little bit funky with the smaller schools (ie: MAC schools, Mountain West schools) because I started the file this year with a file that had roster names from the 2012 season rather than a generic auto-named roster, and got too far down the road before I realized it. And those smaller schools I generally wont touch except for a small # of well-known players. But I personally never use any of those schools in a dynasty, nor do I recgnize any of the current players, so it doesnt affect me personally. I wish there was a way to auto name only certain teams but alas....
I am only editing teams that were "big time" in the 70s. So by custom conference it looks like the below (currently completed teams in red): Big 10: Michigan
Ohio St
Michigan St
Minnesota
Wisconsin
Illinois
Purdue
Indiana (Teambuilder)
Northwestern (Teambuilder)
Iowa
Big8: Oklahoma
Nebraska
Iowa St (Teambuilder)
Kansas (Teambuilder)
Kansas St
Okl St
Colorado
Missouri
SEC: Alabama
Auburn
Tennessee
Florida
Georgia
Ole Miss LSU Miss St
Vandy
Kentucky
Pac10: USC
UCLA Washington
Wash St
Oregon

I've been researching some more players of that era and there is some serious talent that should be fun to play with once your done.
QB-Bert Jones-LSU
LB-Richard "Batman" Woods-USC
The Selmon Brothers-Oklahoma
RB-Franco Harris-Penn St
WR-Lynn Swann-USC
LB-Jack Hamm-Penn St
LB-Jack Lambert-Kent St
RB-Wendell Tyler-UCLA
QB-Vinve Ferragamo-Nebraska
QB-Pat Haden-USC
CB/RB-Cullen Bryant-Colorado
QB/DB-Nolan Cromwell-Kansas
RB-Chuck Foreman-Miami
RB-Earl Campbell-Texas.........One of my All Time Favorites
Yep: I have them all, except maybe Batman Woods. But I think I did put him on the USC roster.
Kent St will also have Don "The Human Bowling Ball" Nottingham. He played for the Baltimore Colts for many years. The guy was like 5'9' / 210 lbs (which by today's standards isnt all that big). But back in the day he looked liked Maurice Jones-Drew does today, but he wasnt THAT good.
