How did people figure out cheat codes and glitches back in NES/SNES days ?

        Nintendo Power was good when the NES/SNES were king of the consoles. There used to also be magazines that you could buy in the bookstore that were full of cheat codes for games on all platforms. Good stuff back in the day

          I have no idea how many times we would sit there and write out all the letters and numbers, and when you went back to do it again, it would be fucked up. Like was 54 letters/numbers really needed for this shit. You would spend like 5 minutes writing it down, and someone would fuck up a letter, or the zero would be an O and you would not get your game back.
          Hell yes, I remember that shit. I don't know how many Metroid and Metal Gear codes I've written down in my life. Justin Bailey, anyone?

              Yeah, I remember those. I used to go to the bookstore and write down all the codes on a piece of paper.
