NBA 2K13 Demo Impressions

Also the first 2k game for me since 2k11 and I'm liking the gameplay.

Man-to-man defense is much better and I wonder how zone may have been changed.

The dribble stick is gonna take a little more time to get the hang of it.

I'd imagine the learning curve from 2k11 is going to be huge, just be patient. It even took me weeks to really get the hang of 2k12 and I've played every year since NBA 2k on the Dreamcast.

For the little bit of time that I played the game yesterday I enjoyed it. For what I thought was a great game in 2k12 this game certainly appears to be a major overhaul. Great game, my biggest issue will be trying to find time to play it with Madden and COD.

The new controls definitely going to take some time to get used to. Practice mode and the 2k cam should do the trick. Loving the game so far though, could see myself playing over 500 ranked games again. Hope they fix the Spin Dunk exploit though, or hell remove that bullshit.

I'm glad the Pro Hop is back to being a separate button again. Was playing with my boy yesterday and couldn't figured out the step-back for shit. Anyone do it yet?

If you have a Kinect, you can use the 2k cam on the demo. Say "Switch Camera" and it should work.

I liked it. The players feel a lot tighter than last year (no homo). I KILLED Miami with Trey5. I was able to hit 3 3's in a row with him, and ended up with 17-4-2. I kept trying to wear Ibaka and Sefolosha out so that they would sub in Nicky-C and Harden...

The new control stick will take a while for me to get the hang of..I forgot that that was put in this year. First drive down the court, I had Russ doing 360 behind-the-back frontflips down the court...smh.

Game feels kinda clunky to me. Hopefully it's just cause it's the demo.
