Just played a whole game, offline, exhibition. Not one stuttering issue. It's only one game, but, I am hopeful this won't be too much of an issue.Maddon & Friedman: Pissing off the AL East since 2008

Just playing RTTS so far, about 5 games in and I've noticed the stuttering issue quite a few times. Seems very sporadic though. One at-bat will be only once, then another will be 2-3 times. Once they find the root of that issue and fix it this game will be complete tits as usual. The stuttering hasn't stopped me from playing though.
Love the manual catching option when fielding in RTTS now as well. Made myself as a CF and had 3 dropped fly balls in one game.
Takes some time getting used to, but it really makes fielding much more interesting now.

A total supporter of MLB The Show ... will always buy the game ... but IMO this game doesn't get innovative enough every year, it lives off its laurels. It took me nearly 40 minutes just to play my first game tonight ... ps3 software update, mlb the show update, 10 GB installl, online activation, etc...
Then I begin to play the game and it feels like the game I played last year and the year before and the year before. They said they changed the timing issues with hitting, but they felt the same to me. Again, I love MLB The Show, but it feels like they barely tweak the game.
I don't play RTTS, so maybe I'm missing something. My Twitch video link: http://www.twitch.tv/dave374000

Online is MUCH better this year compared to last year. Game is much more crisp. Plus, classic stadiums are free this year as well. So you can play in Polo Grounds etc.
I also love the postseason mode, and how fans are actually excited during the playoffs prior to the other years where it felt just like another game.
RTTS is also improved again as well. Overall, it's easily better than last years game.Comment

Just started a RTTS to mess around with. My pitcher went 8.0 IP, 9 H, 3 R, 3 ER, 7K's in his first start. I like the presentation changes they made for RTTS this year as well. Much more enjoyable to hear the sounds on the field. Plus, it sounds like Matty V is in a radio booth when calling a minor league game. Anyone else think so?Maddon & Friedman: Pissing off the AL East since 2008

Apparently DD is already bugged and full of stacked teams of all 99 OVR players due to some glitch with the pre-order DD budget bonus.Comment

But then I got in game, and I gotta say I can't disagree with you more about everything else. I ran 9 innings vs. w2b and 7 innings vs the CPU, Astros (me) vs. Rangers, and both games felt beautiful.
Online play was unplayable two years ago and playable but not fun last year. This year's installment, at least in my initial first day, out of the box impression, is a major improvement over the previous two.Comment
