After playing several games with the Packers, Molenda went to California in early 1929 where he pitched in the winter league.[23] He reported to the Denver baseball team in the spring of 1929, but was able to secure his release when he learned of an industrial opening in Green Bay.[23] In June 1929, Molenda returned to Green Bay to establish his residence there and signed a contract to play for Green Bay's professional baseball team, the Green Sox of the Bay Fox River Valley League.[23][24] Molenda had success for the Green Sox, striking out 14 batters in six innings of relief pitching in one game,[25] striking out 10 and 11 in other games,[26][27] and pitching a three-hit shutout.[28] Molenda pitched for the Green Sox again in the summer of 1931.[29]

and that might be part of the reason why we don't hear about them like the Boston Red Sox.

thats got nothing to do with it. I dont know if the guy is being insulting or just silly ? but when it comes to sports names, anything you think of is probably already done. You have to figure after the red and white sox having been around 100 years that others would follow with similiar names. There use to be a Chicago Packers basketball team. and a green and yellow football team called the Boston Yanks who played in Fenway. I took the Boston Yanks/Celtics and Packers and combined them into one because thats how talented and a history buff that I am

It is hard to believe, perhaps, but six decades ago there was an N.F.L. team called the Boston Yanks. Yes, the Boston Yanks.

Can't wait....I haven't played '13 yet because I don't want to mess up with my timing in '12. My RTTS player is finally hitting for avg and power in his 8th year (3yrs MLB experience). He leads the MLB in RBI (30) and 2nd in HR (15) w/ 32 games played.

Online play is a lot better, seems like the hitting timing and batted ball variety is 10x better, to the point where you can run HOF/HOF and get decent results that resemble real baseball. I am waiting on rosters before I try out RTTS and Franchise a bit more, but for now strictly speaking online it's the best version in years.
