    For all your Canadians!!

    I for one am going to drive up there to get one!

    That was quick. Scarcely two hours after Best Buy spoiled the party, Nintendo is launching the Wii Mini. The crimson console is billed as a Canada-exclusive for now -- we're reaching out to confirm if and when it might go elsewhere -- and is clearly meant to catch those families that find the Wii U (or even a regular Wii) too pricey. To get there, though, they'll have to make some big sacrifices. The Wii Mini cuts out both GameCube compatibility (seen in some regular Wii variants) and, more importantly, internet access; unfortunately, this won't be your budget Netflix box. Still, when gamers in the Great White North can pick one up on December 7th for $100, it might be the ideal fit for that TV in the basement or the occasional party.

      Great, I guess, if they decide to ship this out to the local Wal-Mart out in the Boonies... no internet but still loves you some of them Mario's?! We have the system for you!

          LOL. I guess it makes sense since the WiiU is out now. Like when the PS3 launched and the PS3 was $99. But why just Canada?!? And why does the actual console look like one of their boards?

              wii mini.....lol. they have the craziest names for their consoles. hopefully this wont get confused with the ipad mini......

                  Don't even get me started. The name Wii is so fucking stupid. Does anyone remember when it was rumored to be called the Revolution. It sounded way better and it actually made sense considering it was set to revolutionize the industry with motion controls. Then they just completely dropped the ball and called it teh Wii. Then to make matters worse they stick with that stupid shit for teh new console.

                  I swear I'd like to drop kick Reggie Fils Aime in the face.

                      No internet access and no GameCube backwards compatibility means I won't be buying one of these if/when they come to the US. I only want a Wii so I can get some of those Virtual Console games and finally play those GameCube Resident Evil games that I bought a while ago.
